  • Patent number: 10907015
Abstract: Described is a method for the production of a moisture curable composition whereby the reactive end groups of a reactive polymer are reacted with a cross-linking agent for forming a prepolymer, whereby the method is operated in batch mode and the production of the prepolymer occurs in a mixing vessel, characterized in that the reactive polymer and the cross-linking agent, as well as the additional ingredients necessary for the production step in the mixing vessel, are introduced into the closed mixing vessel and react without opening the mixing vessel, and the mixing takes place without opening the mixing vessel, and the product is removed from the mixing vessel without opening the mixing vessel.

  • Publication number: 20160114048
Abstract: The present invention relates to a drug release formulation, in particular a sustained release formulation for ophthalmic applications and a method of preparing same. The method is based on the hydration of a given solid polymeric matrix material under mild conditions, allowing versatility with respect to the drug to be formulated. Both said solid polymeric matrix material as well the API hydrated formulation is an object of the present invention. The thus obtained material is particularly suitable for prolonged and sustained delivery of medication to the eye. Thus in a further aspect, the present invention provides the use of said solid polymeric matrix material as well the API hydrated formulation, in ophthalmic applications.
