Patent number: 11583067Abstract: An extension adapter assembly includes a cylinder that has a first well extending therein and a second well extending therein. The first well insertably receives an end of an extension pole and the second well insertably receives a handle of a paint brush for attaching the paint brush to the extension pole. A nut is threadably coupled to the cylinder and the paint brush extends through the second nut. A compression fitting is positioned in the nut and the compression fitting compresses against the handle of the paint brush when the nut is tightened. In this way the handle of the paint brush is inhibited from being removed from the second well.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2020Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Inventor: David Adkins

Patent number: 10652197Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can receive a request to send a message from a sender to a recipient. It can be determined that the sender and the recipient have at least a specified number of degrees of separation within a social network. The systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media can acquire social data about at least one of a set of groups joined by the sender and the recipient, a set of events attended by the sender and the recipient, a set of locations visited by the sender and the recipient, or a set of common interests shared by the sender and the recipient. It can be determined whether to deliver the message to a primary inbox of the recipient based on the social data.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2017Date of Patent: May 12, 2020Assignee: Facebook, Inc.Inventor: Michael David Adkins

Patent number: 10082769Abstract: Processes and systems are described that can produce images including both three dimensional holographic images and two dimensional variable data, which can provide personalized security features in a document. A photosensitive film can be pressed against a first reflective optical device. A laser beam can be directed through a selected first area of the photosensitive film onto the first reflective optical device to produce a three dimensional holographic image in the photosensitive film. A previously masked second area of the photosensitive film can be pressed against a second reflective optical device. The laser beam can project an image constructed by a spatial light modulator and can be directed through the second area of the photosensitive film onto the second reflective optical device to produce a two dimensional image in the second area. During the process, the web tension of the photosensitive film is controlled.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2012Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: ENTRUST DATACARD CORPORATIONInventors: David A. Patent number: 9718556Abstract: A cooling system for a fuel tank of an aircraft includes a temperature sensor, a cooling system, and a control module. The temperature sensor detects a fuel temperature within the fuel tank. The cooling system maintains the fuel temperature below a control temperature. The phase change cooling system includes a heat exchanger. A cooling fluid flows through the heat exchanger and is in thermal communication with a surface of the fuel tank. The control module is in signal communication with the temperature sensor and the cooling system. The control module includes control logic for monitoring the temperature sensor, determining if the fuel temperature is above the control temperature, and generating an activation signal.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2014Date of Patent: August 1, 2017Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Bradford A.
