  • Publication number: 20120029767
Abstract: A TPM system wheel unit measures rotational period over a number of wheel revolutions, calculates a value of a period of the revolutions and wirelessly transmits the calculated value of the period to a tire pressure monitoring system receiver in the vehicle mounting the wheel. Alternatively, each wheel unit transmits an RF burst of a predetermined length and a received RF burst envelope modulated with a periodic modulation pattern is used to calculate the period of one wheel rotation for each wheel. A central vehicle electronic control unit monitors wheel speed signals for each wheel of the vehicle and calculates a period for the wheel speed signal for each wheel of the vehicle, bounded by a rolling window which may be of variable length. The calculated values are compared and the wheel unit and the wheel location are correlated therefrom.

  • Patent number: 7526826
Abstract: A folding ramp (20) generally includes at least first and second ramp sections (24 and 26), and a first hinge assembly (22) coupling the first and second ramp sections. The first hinge assembly includes adjacent first and second collars (44A and 44B), wherein a first portion of a tongue and groove coupling device (60A) of the first collar is coupled to a second portion of the tongue and groove coupling device (62A) of the first ramp section and a first portion of a tongue and groove coupling device (60B) of the second collar is coupled to a second portion of a tongue and groove coupling device (62B) of the second ramp section. The first hinge assembly further includes a hinge pin (48), wherein the first and second collars are designed and configured to rotate in opposite directions around the hinge pin.

  • Publication number: 20060111787
Abstract: A glenoid prosthesis includes a bearing, the lateral side of which defines a concave bearing surface, and a carrier shell, the medial side of which comprises anchoring elements, wherein the medial side is generally flat. The prosthesis may be implanted in an anterior-posterior (A-P) by forming bores in the scapula in the A-P direction, wherein the anchoring elements extend into the bores. The scapula may be proceed to have a generally flat surface to correspond with the flat surface at the medial side of the prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 6486773
Abstract: A method and apparatus for communicating data in a remote tire pressure monitoring system (10) which includes a plurality of transmitters (12) associated with tires (T(1), T(2), T(3), and T(4)) of a vehicle (V) and a receiver (14) in radio communication with the plurality of transmitters. At each tire, data is collected (82), the data being representative of a tire characteristic, such as tire pressure. Data representative of the tire characteristic is transmitted (86). After a time delay (94, 96) next data are transmitted (98) until a predetermined number of data words have been transmitted. The time delay for each respective data word is defined according to a repeating pattern common to the plurality of tires so that data words are transmitted during a plurality of aperiodic time windows.

  • Patent number: 4924895
Abstract: A cover adapted to surround and protect a fabric awning when rolled to the stored position. In a preferred embodiment, a flexible sheet metal strip is mounted directly on the awning, on the upper surface thereof, generally adjacent the structure on which the awning is mounted. The metal sheet covers a laterally extending segment of the awning such that, when the awning is rolled, the metal sheet is rolled over the outer surface of the rolled awning. The metal sheet is mounted on the awning by means of interconnecting members positioned on opposite sides of the awning surface which, when engaged, capture and hold a portion of the awning without perforating it.
