    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for purchasing preauthorized items from a shared shopping list. Multiple users can add items to the shared shopping list and preauthorize other users to purchase the items on their behalf. When a user purchases an item from the list on behalf of another member using a mobile shopping app, the app can automatically purchase the item using funds (e.g., a credit card or bank account) of the member who added the item to the shared shopping list.
