    Abstract: Absorbent medical articles include a first absorbent layer with a radio opaque element located on the surface of the first absorbent layer. The radio opaque element has at least one segment that is non-linear and has at least one vertex, the vertex defines an angle of at least 15° and less than 165°. The radio opaque element may be a continuous or discontinuous element. The absorbent medical article may include additional absorbent layers. The radio opaque element makes the absorbent medical article detectable if left inside a patient.

    Abstract: Adhesive articles with multi-layer adhesive constructions include a substrate and a multi-layered adhesive. The multi-layered adhesive includes a layer of a first adhesive in contact with the surface of the substrate, and a layer of siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive in contact with the first adhesive. The siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive includes a siloxane-(meth)acrylate co-polymer. The thickness of the siloxane-based pressure sensitive adhesive layer is less than the thickness of the first adhesive layer.

    Abstract: An antistatic adhesive article which comprises an adhesive layer and utilizes vanadium oxide to impart antistatic properties to the article. The article is preferably an adhesive tape or sheet. The adhesive may be pressure sensitive or non-pressure sensitive. The vanadium oxide may be incorporated into or onto the tape from an aqueous dispersion.
