  • Patent number: 12266354
Abstract: Systems and processes for speech interpretation based on environmental context are provided. For example, a user gaze direction is detected, and a speech input is received from a first user of the electronic device. In accordance with a determination that the user gaze is directed at a digital assistant object, the speech input is processed by the digital assistant. In accordance with a determination that the user gaze is not directed at a digital assistant object, contextual information associated with the electronic device is obtained, wherein the contextual information includes speech from a second user. Determination is made whether the speech input is directed to a digital assistant of the electronic device. In accordance with a determination that the speech input is directed to a digital assistant of the electronic device, the speech input is processed by the digital assistant.

  • Publication number: 20250029339
Abstract: This relates generally to intelligent automated assistants and, more specifically, to provide intelligent visualization of snippet information. An example method includes receiving a user request and in response to receiving the user request, determining a response for the user request, determining a format for a visual representation of the response, identifying one or more virtual objects based on the format for the visual representation of the response, determining a size for each of the one or more virtual objects based on context information associated with the response, and displaying the one or more virtual objects within a background environment based on the size for each of the one or more virtual objects and geometry of the background environment.

  • Publication number: 20240201946
Abstract: An electronic device can implement a zero-latency digital assistant by capturing audio input from a microphone and using a first processor to write audio data representing the captured audio input to a memory buffer. In response to detecting a user input while capturing the audio input, the device can determine whether the user input meets a predetermined criteria. If the user input meets the criteria, the device can use a second processor to identify and execute a task based on at least a portion of the contents of the memory buffer.

  • Publication number: 20210294571
Abstract: An electronic device with one or more processors and memory includes a procedure for enabling conversation persistence across two or more instances of a digital assistant. In some embodiments, the device displays a first dialogue in a first instance of a digital assistant user interface. In response to a request to display a user interface different from the digital assistant user interface, the device displays the user interface different from the digital assistant user interface. In response to a request to invoke the digital assistant, the device displays a second instance of the digital assistant user interface, including displaying a second dialogue in the second instance of the digital assistant user interface, where the first dialogue remains available for display in the second instance of the digital assistant user interface.
