  • Publication number: 20190166212
Abstract: The described embodiments transfer an activity from a source electronic device to a companion electronic device. The source electronic device receives activity information describing an activity performed in a first application at the source electronic device, determines an activity identifier for the activity information, and broadcasts an activity advertisement comprising the activity identifier. Upon receiving the activity advertisement, the companion electronic device determines whether a second application that is associated with the first application is available at the companion electronic device. If the second application is available, the companion electronic device requests extended activity data from the source electronic device. The source electronic device responds by sending extended activity data from the first application to the companion electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20190134440
Abstract: A flowable material delivery trailer is equipped to deliver flowable material (e.g. water, inert gas or other fluid, or flowable solid), preferably at a high pressure and a low flow rate, particularly in hazardous situations, for example in firefighting and in washing difficult to access areas or things (e.g. high voltage transmission towers, transformers on high voltage power lines, insulators on high voltage power lines, signs, street lights and other elevated surfaces). The trailer may comprise a plurality of detachable nozzles, which may be operated independently and simultaneously. The trailer is operable by a single operator under a variety of environmental conditions, and is capable of effectively managing flows to conserve flowable material during operation.

  • Publication number: 20190067686
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to the manufacture of a precursor co-precipitate material for a cathode active material composition. During manufacture of the precursor co-precipitate material, an aqueous solution containing at least one of a manganese sulfate and a cobalt sulfate is formed. Next, a NH4OH solution is added to the aqueous solution to form a particulate solution comprising irregular secondary particles of the precursor co-precipitate material. A constant pH in the range of 10-12 is also maintained in the particulate solution by adding a basic solution to the particulate solution.

  • Patent number: 10212024
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to systems for multi-stage measurement data analysis (MMDA), such as for evaluation and/or validation of data received from a measurement device, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to a MMDA system that utilizes event stream processing (ESP) to provide near real-time validation of measurement data, at least in part, by detecting losses in the measurement data. In many embodiments, the MMDA system may detect technical losses (e.g., due to equipment malfunction) and/or non-technical losses (e.g., due to compromised equipment). For example, the MMDA system may receive measurement data generated by an electrical meter and determine the electrical meter is malfunctioning by detecting a technical loss in the measurement data. In many embodiments, the MMDA system may utilize both direct and indirect measurement data transmitted via separate communication paths to provide near real-time validation of measurement data.

  • Publication number: 20190015703
Abstract: A reservoir provided in a hard-point fixture is pre-loaded with a curable adhesive, where the reservoir is protected from the curing radiation. The fixture is placed on a target surface and the adhesive is extruded from the reservoir into a space between the fixture and the target surface. An irradiating device to cure the adhesive is provided in the fixture and activated to couple the fixture to the surface. Once the curing process is complete, the fixture is released from the placement system leaving the fixture affixed to the target surface.

  • Publication number: 20190015704
Abstract: A hard-point fixture placement system places a fixture that is pre-loaded with a curable adhesive by mechanically extruding the adhesive between the fixture and a target surface to which the fixture is to be attached. The placement system includes an irradiating device to cure the adhesive. The hard-point fixture stores the adhesive in a reservoir that is protected from the curing radiation. Once the curing process is complete, the fixture is released from the placement system leaving the fixture affixed to the target surface.

  • Publication number: 20180317397
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting involves a support configured to stably support the apparatus on a surface, an articulated boom rotatably mounted on the support proximate a first end of the boom, and a hydraulically operated end effector mounted on the boom proximate a second end of the boom. The end effector has a cutter configured to cut an object, and preferably also has an immobilizer (e.g. a gripper) configured to immobilize the object while being cut by the cutter. The end effector has a swivel between the cutter (and/or immobilizer) and the boom, the swivel rotatable continuously through 360° to rotate the cutter (and/or immobilizer) continuously through 360°. The swivel has an internal fluid conduit through which hydraulic fluid may be transported from a hydraulic fluid reservoir to the cutter to hydraulically operate the cutter.
