Abstract: In a multimedia interactive telephony system, a voice service server generates dynamic content intended for consumption by a communication device. The dynamic content is sent to a gateway where it is transformed from to an intermediate content format appropriate for rendering at the communication device. The user may interact with the transformed dynamic content rendered on the communication device, causing the arguments to be sent to the voice server, thus allowing user interactivity with the voice service. The voice services server may also generate dynamic content for simultaneous consumption by multiple communication devices, each of which may independently render an intermediate content format appropriate to it. The voice services server may also generate the dynamic content for the communication device while the communication device is not currently engaged in an active call.

Abstract: A method is provided for providing audio content to a user, the user being uniquely associated with a mobile communications device that is in wireless communication with a host system via a communications network, the method comprising. The method comprises receiving from the user via the communications network a request for audio content relating to a known point of interest (POI). The request includes a unique user identifier associated with the user and a unique POI identifier associated with the known point of interest. Profile preference data are retrieved from a first storage device of the host system, the profile preference data being stored in association with the unique user identifier and relating to at least one predefined preference of the user.

Abstract: Here is disclosed a selective multi-step email message method for propagating same. A user interface allows the use of email messages for mass-advertisement while respecting private profiles of a receiving party. The method for automatically filtering email messages and allowing a recipient to predetermine criteria according to interests for receiving multi-steps email messages. The interface allows the user to generate a propagating profile for use in automatically forwarding received multi-step email messages.

Abstract: A system and a method for managing electronic contact database are disclosed. A method according to an embodiment comprises the steps of providing a recipient electronic address; providing an electronic mail message; encoding a network address including an indication of a file name and a network file server within the provided electronic mail message, the encoded network address indicative of a unique recipient and indicative of the network file server and a file name from which to retrieve data from the network file server; and, transmitting the electronic mail message to the provided recipient electronic address. A mail server supports the methods for managing electronic contact database.

The method comprises the steps of: providing an electronic message including address data to an electronic communication process in execution within a computer system; identifying the address data within the provided electronic message; comparing address data within the provided electronic message with further address data stored on the computer within an address list; providing a notification to the user associated with the electronic message when a result of the comparison indicates that at least some of the identified address data is other than within the further address data, the notification other than a prompt to add the identified address data to the further address data.

Abstract: Automatically populating contact information fields of a contact information database, such as for instance an electronic address book is performed without requiring an individual to manually enter data for the contact. A message is sent to the newly added contact requesting that they fill in their contact information. When the individual is a member of a service filling in the contact information is automatable.

Abstract: An electronic mail server for automatically managing a keep in touch service and method are disclosed. The system is for providing keep in touch, i.e. KIT, electronic messages to a plurality of electronic addresses stored within address books such that when an electronic address is stored in more than one address books, the electronic address is tagged and only one message is sent. The electronic mail server intercepts any response to the KIT, in the form for example of a bounce or a reply, and provides the response to the sending party. When the KIT bounces, the server automatically sends an update request message to all the electronic addresses seeking for a different electronic address for the individual having a non-valid electronic address.

An electronic mail message is send to a contact destination, for which contact information is stored within an electronic contact information database. Attached to the electronic message is a contact field displaying the contact information for said contact. A facility is provided, which allows the contact to modify the contact information. Optionally, a date is provided, when a modification of the current contact information being stored in the electronic contact information database becomes active. Further optionally, the attached contact information is obtained from an automatic can of the electronic contact information database. Also, a central e-mail server is possibly used to intercept an e-mail message at a central e-mail distribution station, and to modify the e-mail message other than changing routing information of the e-mail message.

Only the individual is required to be a member of the service and the individual's data remains secure as the method does not require provision of the individual's address book to a central storage system.
