  • Publication number: 20180341806
Abstract: An image (e.g., a picture) is received from a communication device. The image has associated metadata that is captured while the image is taken. For example, the metadata may be a location, a date, and a time of the picture. One or more object(s) (e.g., a car) along with characteristics of the object(s) in the image are identified. For example, a characteristic may be an action associated with the object, such as a person is running. In response to analyzing the one or more objects for the one or more characteristics in conjunction with the metadata, one or more potential workflows are determined (e.g., a workflow to call the police). A list that identifies the one or more potential workflows is sent to the communication device. Input to select one of the one or more workflows is received, which initiates the selected workflow.

  • Publication number: 20180159980
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a mobile-specific intermediary replacement for the toll free service. This mobile intermediary entity or service can provide four primary call invocation types. Namely, calls can be invoked through a dialer of the mobile device, through a web interface accessed through the mobile device, through a mobile application executing on the mobile device, or through a personal assistant of similar service. The mobile intermediary entity or service can also provide rich, supplementary services for mobile callers. These services can include but are not limited to menu navigation, call continuity, caller geo-location awareness, and awareness of the caller's mobile network operator's identifier. Services natively provided by the called enterprise, such as call conferencing, can also be provided within the call.

  • Publication number: 20180139206
Abstract: A call request is received, from a mobile device, to establish a communication with a contact center. For example, the call request may be to establish a voice call with the contact center. In response to the call request, the mobile device sends authentication factors to a cloud authentication service that the user/mobile device has previously registered with. For example, the authentication factors may include usage factors of the mobile device, such as a call history of the user on the mobile device. If the authentication factors are validated, a token is generated. The token is sent to the contact center along with the call request. The token is validated at the contact center. At this point, the contact center knows that the user/mobile device are authentic. A call is then established between the user and the contact center.

  • Patent number: 9958712
Abstract: A voltage may be provided to a liquid crystal addressable element as part of a liquid crystal device. The provided voltage may be reduced from a driven state to a relaxed state in a time period greater than 1 ?s. The reduction may further be performed in less than 20 ms. The liquid crystal device may be a polarization switch, which in some embodiments may be a multi-segment polarization switch. In one embodiment, pulses of limited duration of a light source may be provided to the polarization switch. The manner of voltage reduction may reduce optical bounce of the liquid crystal device and may allow one or more of the pulses of the light source to be shifted later in time.

  • Publication number: 20180027835
Abstract: A method and system for producing panela cheese resulting as by-product whey without salt or with minimal amount of salt, the method includes processing milk to produce a mixture of cheese curds and whey, wherein optionally the mixture is salted by incorporating a fraction of a total amount of salt required for the manufacture of the panela cheese concerned; extruding, forming and pressing the cheese curds to form cheese blocks and/or simultaneously draining the whey from the cheese curds; optionally subjecting the obtained cheese blocks to a cooling process or a fast cooling process; and promoting absorption of salt by injecting brine to the cheese blocks, wherein the amount of salt absorbed by the cheese block from the brine represents the complement of the total amount of salt required for the manufacture of the panela cheese concerned. The system includes a vat, a cheeseformer apparatus, and a brine injector.

  • Patent number: 9848184
Abstract: Systems and methods for a head tracked stereoscopic display system that uses light field type data may include receiving light field type data corresponding to a scene. The stereoscopic display system may track a user's head. Using the received light field type data and the head tracking, the system may generate three dimensional (3D) virtual content that corresponds to a virtual representation of the scene. The stereoscopic display system may then present the 3D virtual content to a user. The stereoscopic display system may present a left eye perspective image and a right eye perspective image of the scene to the user based on the position and orientation of the user's head. The images presented to the user may be updated based on a change in the position or the orientation of the user's head or based on receiving user input.

  • Patent number: 9841821
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system and/or method may assess handedness of a user of a system in an automated manner. The method may include displaying a 3D image on a display. The 3D image may include at least one object. The method may include tracking a position and an orientation of an input device in open space in relation to the 3D image. The method may include assessing a handedness of a user based on the position and the orientation of the input device with respect to at least one of the objects. In some embodiments, the method may include configuring at least a portion of the 3D image based upon the assessed handedness. The at least a portion of the 3D image may include interactive menus. In some embodiments, the method may include configuring at least a portion of an interactive hardware associated with the system based upon the assessed handedness.

  • Publication number: 20170295157
Abstract: Mobile devices and other devices used in transactions or interactions with other computer systems can be identified by an abstract composite of information unique to the device. For example, the device can record and store when a user first started the device (a date and time of first use), how the device is configured (including any hardware/software identifications, versions, install dates, time when configurations or installations occurred, etc.), etc. All of the information can be collected for a specified period of time (e.g., 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.), periodically, or continually. This process yields a large collection of data, which can be condensed (a record before condensing the data may be approximately 10 to 50 MB). The data may then be encapsulated in a blockchain. At least a portion of the blockchain may then be exchanged to identify the device.

  • Patent number: 9703400
Abstract: Virtual plane and use in a stylus based three dimensional (3D) stereoscopic display system. A virtual plane may be displayed in a virtual 3D space on a display of the 3D stereoscopic display system. The virtual plane may extend from a stylus of the 3D stereoscopic display system. Content may be generated in response to a geometric relationship of the virtual plane with at least one virtual object in the virtual 3D space. The generated content may indicate one or more attributes of the at least one virtual object. The content may be presented via the 3D stereoscopic display system.
