Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for generating ionosonic lift is provided. First and second control electrodes are attached in a spaced-apart relation proximal to a top surface of a wing. An alternating potential applied to the first and second control electrodes alternately attracts and repels ions of a fluid in which the wing is immersed, causing a reciprocating flow of the ions of the fluid and of neutral molecules between the first and second control electrodes. The reciprocating flow of the ions and neutral molecules causes a reduction in pressure at the top surface of the wing, resulting in net lift applied to the wing under the Bernoulli relation.

Abstract: An acoustically resonating medium has one or more nodes and anti-nodes. Insulating a first side of a resonating medium at a node from ambient air and exposing the opposite second side of the resonating medium at the node to ambient air results in thrust in the direction of the first side. Insulating the second side of a resonating medium at an anti-node from ambient air and exposing the first side of the medium at the anti-node to ambient air also results in thrust in the direction of the first side.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing orthosonic lift by deflection includes a support surface and a wing surface in close proximity to the support surface. The space between the support surface and the wing surface defines a volume of air. An orthosonic lift generator causes the oscillating movement of air in the volume parallel to the wing surface. The oscillating movement of air results in a static air pressure on the wing surface of less than the ambient air pressure, resulting in a net force acting on the wing member.

Abstract: Articles of apparel and a method of storing heat in same. The articles each consist of an object adapted to warm a carrier of the object, wherein the method comprises the steps of providing a reservoir within the object, the reservoir containing a supply consisting substantially of microwave absorbing compositions which repeatedly store heat, inserting the object with the reservoir in a field of microwave radiation, and activating the source for a predetermined period of time in order to heat the supply.

Abstract: A therapeutic method for reducing the incidence of adhesions which are likely to form in regions of inflamed body tisssues is disclosed. This method comprises the step of exposing inflamed tissues, such as tissues in the region of recent surgery, to infrasound to reduce the incidence of adhesion formation.
