  • Patent number: 10017935
Abstract: A quick attachment system is disclosed. A first connector portion is defined along a surface of the first member and a second connector portion is defined along a surface of the second member. The first connector portion comprises a protrusion of the surface of the first member. The second connector portion comprises a detent of the surface of the second member. The first and second connector portions may mate with and engage one another to secure the first member against the second member. A modular frame unit comprises first and second channel members defining first connector portions along lengths thereof and a joinder channel member defining second connector portions along a length thereof. Each of the second connector portions is configured to mate with one of the first connector portions to join the joinder channel member with the first and second channel members.

  • Patent number: 7185460
Abstract: A free-standing panel wall system adapted for selectively and adjustably mounting wall panels on either or both sides thereof. The wall system includes generally a plurality of horizontally disposed rails, a plurality of vertical supports carried on either or both sides of the horizontal rails, and a registration mechanism for selectively positioning the horizontal rails and vertical supports relative to each other. Each of the horizontal rails defines a plurality of equally spaced-apart first openings. Each of the upright supports defines a plurality of equally spaced-apart second openings. The first and second openings cooperate to receive conventional fasteners such that the horizontal rails are incrementally adjustable along the vertical supports, and the vertical supports are incrementally adjustable along the horizontal rails.

  • Publication number: 20030208973
Abstract: An improved structural combination for a free-standing panel wall system and comprises first and second pluralities of elongated channel members which meet one another at various locations along the length of the channel members to define an intersection, and a cap member overlying or underlying the intersections of the channel members, and means for anchoring the cap member to the intersecting portions of the channel members at their intersection. Preferably, the materials of construction of the channel member and the cap members are noncombustible.

  • Patent number: 6612090
Abstract: Panel wall system including a plurality of standards, each formed from a non-combustible material and mounted in a spaced-apart upright attitude on a supporting surface. Each standard includes a planar face web and opposite side webs. A plurality of lugs project from the side webs along the length of the standard and serve to removably mount panel members between adjacent standards. All components of the wall system are of a non-combustible material.

  • Patent number: 6601349
Abstract: A free-standing panel wall system which includes at least an elongated floor rail and an elongated top rail, each of a generally U-shaped cross section, and first and second sets of upright standards of generally U-shaped cross-section and having respective side wings that project laterally from the standard, there being one set of standards releasably secured at their top and bottom ends on respective ones of the opposite side webs of the floor rail and top rail. At spaced apart locations intermediate the floor and top rails and disposed between the standards of the first and second sets of standards there is provided a plurality of horizontal connectors, each of which is removably secured to respective ones of the standards on the opposite sides of the horizontal connectors. In one embodiment, there is provided one or more wall system sections which extend generally laterally of the plane of the main wall system section.
