Publication number: 20250085034Abstract: A cooling system for cooling an item of industrial equipment is described. The cooling system includes a primary circuit around which a cooling fluid is circulated, and which includes a two-phase heat exchanger. A secondary circuit is fluidly connected to the primary circuit in parallel with the heat exchanger. The secondary circuit includes a condenser, a pump, a separator and reservoir tank and a restrictor. The boiling point of the cooling fluid at the inlet of the heat exchanger is reduced by the action of the secondary circuit, thereby improving the cooling performance of the cooling system.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2021Publication date: March 13, 2025Applicant: GE ENERGY POWER CONVERSION TECHNOLOGY LIMITEDInventor: Allan David CRANE

Patent number: 12243112Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2023Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: Indigo Ag, Inc.Inventors: David Patrick Perry, Geoffrey Albert von Maltzahn, Robert Berendes, Eric Michael Jeck, Barry Loyd Knight, Rachel Ariel Raymond, Ponsi Trivisvavet, Justin Y H Wong, Neal Hitesh Rajdev, Marc-Cedric Joseph Meunier, Casey James Leist, Pranav Ram Tadi, Andrea Lee Flaherty, Charles David Brummitt, Naveen Neil Sinha, Jordan Lambert, Jonathan Hennek, Carlos Becco, Mark Allen, Daniel Bachner, Fernando Derossi, Ewan Lamont, Rob Lowenthal, Dan Creagh, Steve Abramson, Ben Allen, Jyoti Shankar, Chris Moscardini, Jeremy Crane, David Weisman, Gerard Keating, Lauren Moores, William Pate

Patent number: 10992129Abstract: A power distribution system includes power converter systems electrically connected to a distribution bus which defines a point of common coupling. Each power converter system includes a power converter with semiconductor switching devices controlled using a pulse width modulation strategy with a switching frequency. A controller for each power converter system applies a spectrum analysis process to the respective power converter system that uses measured or derived zero sequence currents associated with the respective power converter system to determine the location of a ground fault within the power distribution system. Each controller applies a switching frequency process where the switching frequency of the power converter of at least one of the power converter systems is different from the switching frequency of the power converter of at least another one of the power converter systems during at least part of the time that the spectrum analysis process is applied.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2016Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: GE ENERGY POWER CONVERSION TECHNOLOGY LTD.Inventors: Lihua Hu, Teng Long, Martin Samuel Butcher, Allan David Crane

Patent number: 9992010Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a replicated fault-tolerant computer system. The system includes a triplet of network elements, which each maintain a clock signal, and a clock monitor at each network element for monitoring incoming clock signals. Each network interfaces with a fault containment region (FCR). The system provides the ability to transition from a duplex system to a triplex system if one of the previously offline FCRs can be brought back online. The network elements can determine or receive notification that the previously offline FCR can be brought back online, align their respective clock signals, and synchronize the memory state of the previously offline FCR. The system can then operate in a fault-tolerant, replicated triplex operating mode.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2015Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc.Inventors: Samuel Beilin, David Crane
