Patent number: 7886983Abstract: A method of preventing condensation on equipment inside a temperature-controlled enclosure comprises measuring the temperature in at least one location inside the enclosure. The temperature inside the enclosure is compared with a safe temperature, at which the risk of condensation is reduced. The temperature inside the enclosure is increased until the safe temperature is achieved. A user is then notified that it is safe to access the enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2007Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Assignee: Liebert CorporationInventors: Karl M. Criss, David A. Patent number: 7788940Abstract: The disclosure provides an improved cooling system and associated cabinet for electronic equipment, and optionally, a backup ventilation system for cooling related failures. Generally, the disclosure includes a high capacity closed loop refrigeration system in a modified cabinet, while accommodating standard sized computer equipment. Further, the system provides directed heat removal by altering typical airflow paths within the cabinet. The backup ventilation system is powered by auxiliary power in the case of power failure and uses the same fan(s) for ventilation as is used for cooling. The disclosure provides a more efficient, higher capacity cooling cabinet in less space than otherwise known in the art. Further, the cooling system can anticipate heat loads and therefore operate in a predictive capacity by monitoring input power to the electronic equipment and adjusting the cooling for the expected increase or decrease in heat load generated based on the input power.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2006Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Liebert CorporationInventors: Steven M. Madara, Steve Sillato, Thomas E. Harvey, David A. Dukes

Publication number: 20100132600Abstract: An assembly for selectively supplying particulate material to an air seeder, an agricultural implement able to selectively supply and dispense particulate material into the ground and a method of selectively dispensing particulate material into the ground are provided. The assembly has at least one supply receptacle for receiving particulate material from a source and a metering roller for supplying the material to an air seeder. The assembly is operative to selectively supply the material to the air seeder and prevent the material from being supplied to the air seeder. The implement can use the assembly to selectively supply particulate material to ground engaging openers where the particulate material will be dispensed into the ground. Particulate material can be selectively supplied to the implement when it is desired to have the particulate material dispensed into the ground and then prevented from being supplied to the implement when it is not desirable.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2009Publication date: June 3, 2010Applicant: ONE PASS IMPLEMENTS INC.Inventors: BRIAN DEAN, PATRICK BEAUJOT, DAVID DUKE, BRUCE WILTON, BARRY MELANSON, JUSTIN VARJASSY, WARD JAMES HEPTING, DAVE HUNDEBY

Publication number: 20050204707Abstract: An extruded polymeric void-board is configured for placement between adjacent horizontal layers of bricks to maintain an opening in a lower layer of the bricks. The void-board is formed as a relatively thin planar element having first and second surfaces. A plurality of parallel ribs extend from and generally transverse to the first side. The ribs have a predetermined height to width ratio and have a height that is less than a thickness of the planar element. The ribs being formed parallel to one another. A method for forming a bundle of bricks with the void-board is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2004Publication date: September 22, 2005Applicant: Illinois Tool Works, Inc.Inventors: David Duke, William Williams, John Kruelle, Tilak Varma

Patent number: 5892765Abstract: The invention provides a computer implemented system comprised of two computer terminals for effectuating bidirectional digital, time synchronized communications between networks operating asynchronously with respect to one another. The system repackages the data field of a message received from a network into a message that further includes time indicia corresponding to a time slot in which the repackaged message is to be transmitted so that it may be received by a second network. The repackaged message then is buffered until it is transmitted in the the appropriate time slot so that it may be detected by the second network. The invention overcomes the problem of effectuating communications between distant networks where the message propagation time and time slot period for receiving messages limits the range of communications.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1996Date of Patent: April 6, 1999Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Thomas D.
