Publication number: 20250052062Abstract: A sealant pouch system for adhering roofing shingles includes a plurality of pouches containing an adhesive with a viscosity of 25 cps to 2500 cps. Each pouch comprises an outer film that encases the adhesive and is configured to rupture when subjected to a sufficient force or a temperature above a predetermined threshold. The method of installation involves placing the pouches on the reveal portion of shingles in a first row, installing a second row of shingles to overlap the first row, and applying sufficient force to rupture the pouches, causing the adhesive to contact both the headlap and reveal portions of the shingles, thereby sealing the rows together. The pouches may have various shapes and are designed to prevent rolling or sliding off sloped roof decks.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2024Publication date: February 13, 2025Inventors: David Ellis, Ming-Liang Shiao, Brian Lee

Patent number: 12203777Abstract: An improvement to a utility (U) meter's (M) meter reading schema. The improvement includes a device (D) responsive to a native language with which a meter is programmed to convert communications to and from the meter from that native language into a neutral language. The neutral language is convertible by other meters programmed with different native languages into the native language of a particular meter for meters programmed with different native languages can communicate with each other. This allows facilities within a localized area of a utility's power grid (G) to form into a micro-grid (MG) in which meters programmed with the same or different native languages can communicate with each other without having communications between them routed through a central location of the utility.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2020Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Aclara Technologies LLCInventors: David Haynes, Todd Ellis

Publication number: 20240428169Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for using machine learning to simulate changes to virtual warehouse configurations without access to data stored by corresponding virtual warehouses are described herein. A computing device may receive first performance metrics of one or more first queries executed by one or more first virtual warehouses. The computing device may then generate a trained machine learning model to simulate operating parameter changes and predict virtual warehouse query performance metrics. The computing device may then provide performance metrics for one or more second virtual warehouses to the trained machine learning model. Output from the trained machine learning model may comprise performance metric predictions corresponding to a given configuration of a virtual warehouse. Predicted costs associated with those performance metric predictions may be output and, based on user input, the operating parameter of the at least one of the one or more second virtual warehouses may be modified.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2023Publication date: December 26, 2024Inventors: Rahul Syal, Tyler Fearns, Chris Sylvia, Justin Bougher, Kishore Kolanu, David Ellis, Brenton Mallen, Rohan Khopkar

Patent number: 12039304Abstract: During software development, embodiments find various kinds of weak spots in source code and automatically suggest fixes to strengthen the code, without requiring developers to expressly select weakness finder mechanisms or fixer mechanisms by navigating a development tool's menu system. Weakness finders may analyze code using items such as hole detection, diagnostic errors, test results, changed code matches, prospective code discrepancies, generated code confidence scores, generated suggestion competition, and artificial intelligence. Weak spots and their context are submitted to weak spot fixers, which may generate fix suggestions using functionalities such as code synthesis, refactoring, autocompletion, retesting, and artificial intelligence. Fix candidate sets may be evaluated for consistency, diagnostic errors, and discrepancies. Snippets may be dynamically filled for presentation to a user.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2022Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Peter Groenewegen, Jui Hanamshet, German David Obando Chacon, Mark Alistair Wilson-Thomas, Alexey Svyatkovskiy, David Ellis Pugh

Publication number: 20240069907Abstract: Historic context data is automatically associated with particular pieces of source code by retrieval data structures. Ephemeral information is preserved, such as how a piece of code originated operationally and was changed over time, which research sources informed the code's origination and changes, and why particular changes in the code were made. Code may be rolled back to an earlier version based on parameters such as whether code had been refactored, or results of testing or static analysis. Rollback goes beyond editor undo actions, and a developer need not specify a timestamp or a version number. Developer documentation burdens are reduced, developer understanding is increased, and code quality is enhanced, by providing ready access to the code's software development context history data. Some actions made possible include highlighting code that was generated automatically by autocompletion or otherwise, highlighting refactored code, and highlighting pasted code, among other actions.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Peter GROENEWEGEN, Mark Alistair WILSON-THOMAS, German David OBANDO CHACON, David Ellis PUGH, Mikhail BRESLAV, Oscar Alfonso OBESO TREJO
