  • Publication number: 20220168913
Abstract: A safety razor handle has a body having a cartridge attachment end with an adjoined elongated hollow portion terminating in an opening at an opposed end of the body. A pushbutton is slidably retained in the opening and movable along an axis of the hollow portion between an at-rest position and a depressed position. An elongated transfer rod is located in the hollow portion and has a first end in the cartridge attachment end region of the hollow portion and a second end closely abutting the pushbutton. A compression spring acts between the cartridge attachment end and the first end of the transfer rod to bias the transfer rod along the axis towards the opening. An ejector is mounted in the cartridge attachment end having an outer end extendable outwardly from the cartridge attachment end and an inner end closely abutting the first end of the transfer rod.

  • Patent number: 11285628
Abstract: A safety razor has a handle with an extension having a pair of depressions to each receive a respective one of two detents of a razor cartridge and which extension provides cartridge support structure that engages a recess of the razor cartridge. The razor cartridge has a blade unit and a connector. The recess of the razor cartridge is in part defined by opposed walls of the connector providing a floor and a ceiling and the two detents are on the floor and extend into the recess. The floor has a slot between the two detents and the slot is sized such that deflection of any one detent on its respective floor portion is substantially independent of deflection of the other detent on its respective floor portion.

  • Publication number: 20110240006
Abstract: A solar tracking system for controlled movement of an array of solar panels and a method for installing the system is provided. The system includes an elongate drive shaft rotatable about a central axis and mechanically coupled to an array of solar panels which are rotatable about the drive shaft. A plurality of posts support the drive shaft along the length of the drive shaft, and a plurality of couplers couple the posts to the drive shaft in a manner that facilitates adjustment of the position and orientation of the couplers relative to the posts during installation of the system, and in a manner which minimizes the contact area between the couplers and the drive shaft to reduce the torque and power requirements of the system.

  • Patent number: 6082031
Abstract: Internally illuminated emergency signs are typically placed in elevated locations which are awkward for electricians to reach, yet must be securely mounted. It is therefore difficult and time-consuming to make wiring connections after the mounting operation is completed. In order to facilitate both quick and easy wiring of the sign, and secure mounting thereof, an improved canopy features a projecting bracket which slips into a slot in a side or top of the sign housing, and engages over horizontally extending screws. Rapid, yet secure mounting of the sign is achieved by cantilevering the sign on the bracket, if side mounting is used, or by use of a locking pin, if top mounting is used. The locking pin keeps the screws from sliding laterally with respect to the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6050013
Abstract: In an exit sign, a cover member for an emergency exit sign has a pair of hook members on its bottom wall and a pair of resilient spring finger members on its top wall. The hook members are dimensionally sized and appropriately positioned to engage catch members on an exit sign housing while the spring finger members resiliently snap fit within spaced apart apertures in the top wall of the exit sign housing thereby retaining the cover member in its closed position. A pair of flexible straps secure the cover member to the exit sign housing to keep them in assembly when the cover member is in its open position.

  • Patent number: 5823378
Abstract: A breather box attaches to the exterior wall of an electrical enclosure. An upper breather opening in the box connects with a vent opening in the wall. A lower breather opening in the box is shielded by a wall spaced therefrom to prevent water entry. A labyrinth in the interior of the box forces ascending water through a series of sharp turns and through a series of constrictions which are followed by expansion chambers. The labyrinth terminates at a liquid exit adjacent the upper wall of the breather box, forcing water to substantially fill the breather box before it can enter the enclosure.
