  • Publication number: 20240090923
Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a fixator for fixating bone fractures includes a Y-frame having superior, anterior and posterior arms. The arms may be slotted and may accept mounting hardware for supporting fixation pins or transfixion pins. Various components of mounting hardware may be able to be adjusted either in discrete steps or in continuous manner, for various degrees of either translation or rotation. The Y-frame may be rigid, or may have joints that allow either angulation or arm-twisting adjustment. Arms may be provided joinable interchangeably to a hub. A kit of such parts may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20220287746
Abstract: A bone fixation system includes an intramedullary rod, a cage that is configured to receive the intramedullary rod at least partially therethrough, and at least one fixator configured to connect the intramedullary rod to the cage. A method for repairing a bone defect in a patient using the bone fixation system includes implanting the cage into the bone defect, inserting at least a portion of the intramedullary rod into the cage, and securing the cage to the intramedullary rod using the fixator.

  • Patent number: 9753908
Abstract: A system and method that transfers data from scanned documents and document images directly into a spreadsheet. The user can construct a map that associates data types in the input scanned document with an area in the spreadsheet. The user can also use pre-stored maps that have previously been constructed by the user or by someone else. The map may be stored as an XML file in a hidden sheet of the spreadsheet or in a separate file. During use, the user selects a map, scans the document, parses the document to extract the data types and associated data, and transfers the parsed data to the spreadsheet in accordance with the selected mapping.
