  • Publication number: 20080226608
Abstract: Enriched subpopulations of bone marrow progenitors are obtained according to methods that involve the staining of bone marrow cells and the identification of bone marrow progenitors within the stained cell population having specific intracellular fluorescence or orthogonal light scatter properties. Enriched subpopulations of the described progenitors may be used to lower blood glucose levels and treat hyperglycemia, and in particular hyperglycemia caused by Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

  • Patent number: 6675563
Abstract: A disc cutterbar having a two-piece mounting hub, one piece rotatably driven and the other supporting a knife for severing standing crop material, with spring-mounted ball and detent devices holding the two pieces members together and forming a shear device therebetween is disclosed. A specially threaded retaining bolt is associated with the knife-supporting piece whereby, upon failure of the shear device, the knife-supporting piece is rotated out of the cutting plane and away from the operational cutterheads.

  • Patent number: 6205752
Abstract: A disc mower conditioner utilizing a modular disc cutterbar to sever standing crop material by impact action. The side sheets of the disc mower conditioner are provided with a rolling crop divider that can be an optional attachment. The rolling crop divider is constructed as a series of overlapping rolling coulters mounted to the side sheet by bearings to enhance the rolling operation of the coulters. The rolling coulters effectively divide the crop material to direct tall and entangled crops into the header to be severed by the rotating knives. The coulters are arranged in a trailing orientation to present a curved leading edge that is highly effective in directing tall, entangled or viney crops downwardly into engagement with the adjacent disc cutter.

  • Patent number: 3991367
Abstract: A suspension insulator used on the tower of a high-voltage transmission line has a capacitive voltage dividing pickup plate placed thereon to capacitively pick up a low-power indication of the potential carried by the line. In order to detect the potential on the plate, the potential difference between the plate and the tower is limited, rectified and applied to a neon lamp in a photo coupler. A photosensitive element in the photo coupler responds to the light from the lamp to operate a relay to control remote indicators.
