  • Publication number: 20060237166
Abstract: A fluid heat exchanger has a housing having a thermally conductive base, a plurality of fin members connected to the base in a parallel, spaced relationship, a heat exchanger fluid inlet on one side of the plurality of fin members, and a heat exchanger fluid outlet on the opposite side of the plurality of fin members. The plurality of fin members each have a plurality of passageways and are arranged in the housing so that the passageways of one fin member are offset from the passageways of adjacent fin members.

  • Publication number: 20050199775
Abstract: A vibration isolation support for mounting an engine in a vehicle frame, the engine having a theoretical roll axis, the vibration isolation support including an engine bracket fixed to the engine; a frame bracket fixed to the vehicle frame; and an isolator connected between the engine bracket and the frame bracket, where the isolator is radially symmetrical about a longitudinal axis, and the engine bracket is fixed to the engine and the frame bracket is fixed to the frame such that a vertical plane drawn through the isolator's longitudinal axis is perpendicular to a horizontal plane drawn through the theoretical roll axis, and the isolator's longitudinal axis intersects the horizontal plane through the theoretical roll axis at an acute angle that is less than or equal to 45°.

  • Publication number: 20050044155
Abstract: An anti-spamming agent filters incoming email messages to eliminate unsolicited and unwanted email messages, particularly bulk email messages commonly known as spam. The anti-spamming agent gives all incoming mail messages a score and processes the messages based on the message score. Messages receiving a qualifying score are forwarded to the user. All other messages are either discarded or quarantined while the anti-spamming agent performs further authorization procedures, such as a challenge-response procedure. When a message from an unknown sender is received, a verified mail registry may be queried to authenticate the sender, and the mail may be processed based on the response from the verified mail registry.

  • Patent number: 6286545
Abstract: A reservoir for power steering fluid includes an upright housing that forms an upper interior space for storage of a reserve fluid supply, and a lower interior space containing a fluid filter. Fluid connectors are provided for causing fluid to flow in a circumferential swirling pattern as it moves through the filter, such that the flowing fluid has a relatively long residence time in the lower portion of the reservoir for achievement of an effective cooling action. The fluid filter is connected in a return line form the power steering unit to the associated pump, so that the filter exerts a back pressure on fluid flowing from the power steering unit to the filter.

  • Patent number: 5479099
Abstract: A magnetic inspection head adapted for use with samples having non-planar surfaces. A magnetically permeable core has a pair of poles joined by a magnetically permeable bridge to form a closed magnetic circuit between the pole legs, bridge and the test material. Each pole has magnetically permeable support means terminating in a magnetically permeable deformable surface for engaging the sample. The support means is yieldable such that when the inspection head is placed in contact with the irregular surface of the sample, the deformable surface is deformed to accommodate the shape of the sample with minimal air gaps therebetween. Preferably, the deformable surface is provided by a plurality of pins slidably engaged in a pole structure and urged outwardly for contact with and conformance with a non-planar sample surface.
