  • Patent number: 10480179
Abstract: An L-bracket is provided to support manufacturered wall panels in a wall system. The L-bracket is attached to structural support members, such as floors, or hollow structural sections, so that any deflections in the floor system are accommodated in the wall panels. Each wall panel may be pre-fabricated to include shealthing, air/vapor barrier and insulation. Fasteners attach the shealthing of the wall panels to the L-bracket. Tape or strips may be applied between adjoining panels to provide a continuous air/vapor barrier for the wall system, and gaps in the insulation layer allows the air/vapor barrier to be sealed and inspected.

  • Publication number: 20190292772
Abstract: Pre-fabricated panels may consist of multiple layers of materials, which may include (from outside to inside): exterior outer cladding, insulation material, air and vapor barrier (AVB), sheathing board, spray home and studs. In one example, each edge of a sheathing board on the interior side of a wall may be covered by a U-shaped sleeve made of soft plastic, for example rubber, forming a flexible joint between abutting sheathing boards. The edges of the sheathing boards are connected by an interior lap seal system that allows for the application of a sealant through an injection portal. A strip of peel and stick membrane may be applied over the lap seal system as a secondary measure of continuing the AVB membrane. A stud framing system may be used to ensure there is sufficient space to allow the application of AVB membrane from the inside.

  • Publication number: 20190248487
Abstract: A technique is introduced for autonomous landing by an aerial vehicle. In some embodiments, the introduced technique includes processing a sensor data such as images captured by onboard cameras to generate a ground map comprising multiple cells. A suitable footprint, comprising a subset of the multiple cells in the ground map that satisfy one or more landing criteria, is selected and control commands are generated to cause the aerial vehicle to autonomously land on an area corresponding to the footprint. In some embodiments, the introduced technique involves a geometric smart landing process to select a relatively flat area on the ground for landing. In some embodiments, the introduced technique involves a semantic smart landing process where semantic information regarding detected objects is incorporated into the ground map.

  • Publication number: 20190049433
Abstract: A device and system allows for simplified connection, disconnection, and mitigation of signal interference for electrophysiological testing. One or more electrophysiological electrodes are attached to the patient. These electrodes are connected to leads which are bundled based on region with a single connector associated with each bundle. The bundles are individually keyed and colored for ease of connection and disconnection. Leads within a bundle are organized through the use of a retainer. Electrode bundles are connected to a junction box within proximity to the patient. A single cable connects the junction box to an electrophysiological testing and monitoring interface. A system for visualizing lead bundle data, organizing individual electrode data by the lead bundles that they are associated, facilitates a workflow allowing for rapid and simple channel identification in association with specific electrode regions.
