  • Patent number: 10194582
Abstract: An apparatus applies product and includes a pivotal platform solely supported through bushings formed of compressible material. The ground speed can be locked by stepping on a step pivoting a composite block to engage with an engagement of the transmission proportioner arm. A gate is opened utilizing a control lever pivotally mounted to a pivotably mounted control block to either engage or avoid a tang of an adjustment guide. A drive belt system includes a variator having first and second sheaves having variable effective diameters when their pivot pin is moved by pivoting a lever. A spray tip sprays a fan style spray at a small acute angle to the application area. A flip shield is pivoted about an axis parallel to the movement direction and includes a linear straight portion parallel to the axis in a redirection position.

  • Patent number: 9534877
Abstract: A low energy mechanical operating cartridge has an inner regulator core (13) supporting a projectile (21) slidably engaged in a primer casing (19). The regulator core acts to control the velocity at which the projectile is propelled from a firearm (61), and the primer casing carries the explosive propellant (25) necessary to generate the required energy to launch the projectile. To improve the operation of the cartridge and ejection of the cartridge from the firearm, the primer casing is configured to efficiently slide on the regulator core in a rearward recoil action, while robust gas seals are maintained between the casing and regulator core.

  • Publication number: 20090178667
Abstract: A fireplace fountain apparatus for a fireplace structure with an aperture for a firebox comprises a distribution pipe superior to the aperture, a reservoir at the base of the fireplace structure, and a pump communicating water from the reservoir through the lateral pipe to the distribution pipe and onto the surface of the fireplace structure. Water flowing down the structure is diverted lateral of the aperture by a diversion trough disposed superior to the aperture and into the reservoir. The diversion trough may be removed and an insert may be fitted to the aperture when the use of the firebox is not contemplated.

  • Patent number: 7474620
Abstract: A system includes nodes and a path selection mechanism. The nodes are interconnected with one another as a mesh network. At least one of the nodes is connected to at least another of the nodes by different transport technologies. The path selection mechanism, in at least one of the nodes, determines an optimal path through the mesh network to transmit data from an originating node to a recipient node.

  • Publication number: 20070016911
Abstract: An error processing system in a system for communicating messages from a plurality of source executable applications to a plurality of destination executable applications includes a repository for centrally storing data identifying errors encountered by the plurality of different destination executable applications in processing data in messages from one or more of the source executable applications. Such an identified error may be encountered by an individual destination executable application during partially successfully processing of data in a first message received from a source executable application. A user interface initiates generation of data representing a single display image including data identifying, at least one error encountered by a particular destination executable application during partially successfully processing data in a first message, the first message, and the particular destination executable application.

  • Publication number: 20060262831
Abstract: A communication device according to the present invention detects a frequency-hopped signal in an environment including sinusoidal interference. The frequency-hopped signal includes a frequency shift keying (FSK) sequence, where the sequence alternates between frequencies shifted from the carrier signal or hop frequency by positive and negative frequency offsets. The communication device of the present invention uses independent detection paths for each of the shifted frequencies. In the detection path for the upper frequency (e.g., positive frequency shift), a series of filters suppresses signals in the lower frequency band (e.g., negative frequency shift), while the detection path for the lower frequency employs a separate series of filters to suppress signals in the upper frequency band. The filter outputs from each detection path are separately examined to detect the presence of an expected signal.

  • Publication number: 20060041423
Abstract: In order to facilitate automated operations with software, semantic meaning of data values is bound to the syntactic type of the data values. In a described implementation, a piece of software accepts inputs and produces outputs. The inputs have a specified syntactic type (e.g., runtime type) and an expected semantic meaning. The semantic meaning corresponds to a real-world description of relevant data for the input. Providing a data set that matches the specified syntactic type and the expected semantic meaning as input to the software enables a relevant operation with the software to be performed. An example automated operation is the testing of a piece of software. In another described implementation, a synmantic data object is created and/or utilized that includes a syntactic type attribute and a semantic meaning attribute for the contained data value(s). Other optional attributes include locale indication and a validity flag.

  • Patent number: 5546421
Abstract: A communications station (10) couples a bidirectional input-output signal path (16') to two unidirectional signal paths; a transmit signal path (12') and a receive signal path (14'), using a controllable hybrid (20). A feedback control system in the station minimizes the amount of transmit signal appearing at the receive output port (24) of the hybrid (20). The control system spreads the spectrum of a pilot signal (40) by means of a biphase modulator (46) and a pseudorandom generator (42) to produce a spread-spectrum pilot, which is added, in a summer 30, to the transmit signal. The spread-spectrum pilot signal covers the bandwidth of the information signal, and is reflected in an amount and with a phase which depends upon the relative impedance presented to the hybrid (20) by the bidirectional signal path (16').

  • Patent number: 5479077
Abstract: A miniaturized window wiper includes a mounting hub having a concealed mounting boss therein, the hub being pivotally connected to a wiper arm which further mounts and shrouds a wiper blade holder, the wiper arm being subjected to tension by a torsion spring in order to bias a wiper blade against a window. A motor drive system for imparting oscillating motion to the wiper is also disclosed.
