  • Publication number: 20220171765
Abstract: Some embodiments include a cloud computing system and database management for forensic criminal investigations. The cloud computing system may produce a visual representation of various digital interactions between various individuals. These digital interactions, for example, may include phone calls, text messages, emails, social media messages or posts, etc. between a first individual and a second individual. The visual representation, for example, may be provided on a webpage. The visual representation, for example, may graphically represent a relationship between the first individual and the second individual.

  • Patent number: 5249300
Abstract: A computer system for building models of complex business transactions in an information management system. The system includes storage means for storing ordered sets of references to design data, such as entities. The ordered sets, or entity-sets, are assigned a value, and may then be manipulated in a manner similar to a data variable. The references may be ordered in accordance with predetermined criteria, or operator selected criteria.

  • Patent number: 5241645
Abstract: A computer system for creating and manipulating subsets of dynamic information systems models of organizations. Generally, the system includes a plurality of dynamicallly linked modelers. The system includes a filter for creating a subset of a model. Each model subset is defined by operator-determined selection criteria. The subset is created by applying the selection criteria to the design data set of the model to be filtered. The resulting model subset may be displayed in a graphical representation. Such representations may enable the user to dynamically interact with the system.

  • Patent number: 5212771
Abstract: A computer system for creating and manipulating subprocesses in a dynamic model of information management systems of organizations. The system enables a user to "explode" a process from a graphical representation, or diagram, into its corresponding subprocesses. By performing this process explosion, high-level processes and primitive processes are created. A high-level process is one which has one or more corresponding subprocesses, whereas a primitive process is one which has no corresponding subprocesses. A diagram may then be generated for each primitive process. In addition, the resulting exploded process may simultaneously be displayed with the displayed process from which it is derived. In a similar fashion, subprocesses may be "hidden" within a process, creating high-level processes from groups of primitive processes.

  • Patent number: 5195178
Abstract: A computer system for establishing an adaptive window system within a dynamic model of information systems of organization. The system includes a plurality of editors which enable a user to interact with the system. The window system includes predetermined criteria against which design data of one or more of the editors is compared. An options window then displays those options which meet the criteria, generally corresponding to syntactically permissible options, at any time during the model building process.

  • Patent number: 5193182
Abstract: A computer system for processing information representative of complex business transactions. The system enables a user to define business logic within a dynamic information management system model. The system may include a plurality of editors which enable a user to dynamically create, analyze and modify design data. The system further includes graphical displays which enable a user to affect the operations to be performed on that design data.

  • Patent number: 5146591
Abstract: A computer system for dynamically modeling information systems of organizations. The system includes a plurality of editors which enable a user to interact with the system. Included in the system is an information modeler, an information flow modeler, and a logic modeler for creating, analyzing and modifying design data associated with each modeler. Each of the modelers are dynamically interlinked, such that a change to one design data set will affect a corresponding change in other design data sets. The system includes graphic representations associated with each of the modelers to enable a user to interact with the system. The objects of each of the graphic representations may also be dynamically linked, such that a change in one representation affects a substantially immediate change in other representations.

  • Patent number: 4690084
Abstract: A lightweight embroidered puffed design fabric (10) having puffed design elements (E) formed in a prescribed embroidered design (C) is disclosed. The design fabric includes a front fabric (A) on which the design is formed and a lightweight back fabric (B). The front and back fabrics are united by embroidery stitching (14) which forms a preshrink design pattern D for the puffed elements. Back fabric (B) is a gauze-type fabric which includes a relatively low count of highly shrinkable cotton weft and warp yarns (22, 24) loosely woven to form an open mesh 20 to facilitate full and uniform shrinking of the back fabric relative to said front fabric. Excess in the face of the front fabric forms puffed design elements (30, 32) in a manner controlled by preshrink design pattern D. In accordance with the method, front and back fabrics are united in composite fabric (11) by embroidering preshrink embroidered pattern (D) on front fabric (A).

  • Patent number: 4583936
Abstract: A furnace (A) defines a combustion chamber (10) in which a pair of burners (B) are mounted for oxidizing the fuel to heat the combustion chamber. An air blower (12) supplies air to the burners at a rate controlled by a rate control valve (18). A frequency modulated burner control system (C) controls the duty cycle of the burners, i.e. cyclically actuates the burner at a fixed burn rate and then deactuates them. The burner control system varies the actuation to deactuation ratio in each cycle to vary the thermal input to the combustion chamber. The burners provide two - stage combustion wherein a fuel rich mixture is partially oxidized in a first stage combustion area (44). Additional air which is thereafter introduced through air passages (50, 52) completes the combustion.

  • Patent number: 4403267
Abstract: An electrically heated vacuum furnace is described as having a fault detection system which has the ability to sense among other things, carbon arc buildup, a load touching a heating element, short circuits from broken heating elements, and short circuits in any heating element connection whether it be single phase, three phase delta or three phase wye connections. The system essentially comprises an electrically balanced wheatstone bridge which is in a main circuit in parallel with the electric heating element and the grounded casing of the furnace. A switching mechanism maintains the circuit in a normally open condition. A timer is provided to periodically disrupt the flow of electric current to the electric heating element in the furnace. The switching mechanism will be operated to close the circuit if the circuit is free of electric current.

  • Patent number: 4233916
Abstract: Continuous unseamed lengths of embroidered fabric are produced by a special process and apparatus therefor. Fabric to be embroidered upon is pulled off a vertical bolt and engaged at its upper edge by pins on an endless belt which is actuated to advance the fabric across the face of an embroidery apparatus. Then the lower edge of the fabric is tensioned transversely. Embroidery proceeds and then the embroidery yarns are cut. A release member disengages the lower edge of the fabric, the belt is actuated to advance the fabric, disengage its upper edge from its pins, to move the embroidered fabric onto a collection bolt and to position a new section of the fabric in the embroidery area. The upstream rear end of the embroidered section of fabric is registered so the new embroidery will be continuous with that just completed, and the operation is repeated.
