  • Patent number: 12258027
Abstract: An evaluation computing system may implement techniques to validate a vehicle controller, such as based on an update thereto. The evaluation computing system may access data associated with an operation of the vehicle in an environment as controlled by the controller. The evaluation computing system may modify a portion of the data representative of a fault associated with the controller. The evaluation computing system may run a simulation utilizing modified log data to determine whether the controller detects and/or mitigates the fault within a threshold time. Based on a determination that the controller does not detect and/or mitigate the fault within the threshold time, the evaluation computing system may determine an error associated with the controller. Based on a determination that the controller detects and/or mitigates the fault within the threshold time, the evaluation computing system may validate the controller.

  • Patent number: 12256207
Abstract: Electroacoustic drivers that can be utilized in loudspeaker systems that utilize drivers having a magnetic negative spring (MNS) (such as reluctance assist drivers (RAD) and permanent magnet crown (PMC) drivers). The electroacoustic drivers can be used at all audio frequencies, including subwoofer frequencies. The magnetic negative springs of the electroacoustic drivers can cancel, or partially cancel, the large pressure forces on a sound panel (of an audio speaker) so that substantial subwoofer notes can be efficiently and cost effectively produced in small/portable speakers. The electroacoustic drivers can include a stabilizing/centering mechanism to overcome the destabilizing forces of a MNS that are too large for a voice coil alone to produce.

  • Patent number: 12241747
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for generating a geodetic datum. The geodetic datum can establish a coordinate system and/or a set of reference points that describe the respective locations of a portion or all of Earth and/or objects located thereon. In general, a computing system can generate the geodetic datum using various sensor data from one or more sources including: satellite imagery, aerial imagery, aerial light detection and ranging data (LIDAR), ground-level imagery, ground-level LIDAR, and/or other forms of sensor data. This data can be used as a reference dataset that can be combined with additional sensor data (e.g., a second dataset) to determine correspondences between overlapping areas represented in the datasets. Continuing this process for regions that collectively cover the Earth can be used to create a geodetic datum of the entire Earth, without using a mathematic abstraction of the Earth surface.

  • Patent number: 12243047
Abstract: Provided are a re-using e-commerce payment instruments for in-store purchasing systems and methods. A customer enters a check out and a transaction at the point of sale is started. The system receives a pairing request at a wallet processor from a customer mobile device operating a mobile application. This pairing request is created and sent in response to scanning of a code having a transaction identification. The system associates a customer payment profile with the transaction identification and sends associated information to the point of sale. The point of sale sends an amount of sale to authorize to the wallet processor after completing scanning of items. The system creates an authorization for payment and sending the authorization for payment to an authorizer. The transaction may then be completed by processing payment.

  • Patent number: 12227446
Abstract: Low-cost and robust platforms are key for the development of next-generation 3D micro- and nanodevices. To fabricate such platforms, nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) is a highly appealing material due to its biocompatibility, robustness, and mechanical, electrical, electrochemical, and optical properties, while glass substrates with through vias are ideal interposers for 3D integration due to the excellent properties of glass. A low-cost process—free of photolithography and transfer printing—for fabricating arrays of TGVs that are sealed with suspended portions of an ultra-thin NCD film on one side is presented. These highly transparent structures may serve as a platform for the development of microwells for single-cell culture and analysis, 3D integrated devices such as microelectrodes, and quantum technologies. It is also possible to replace the NCD with silicon nitride or silicon carbide, allowing for the development of complex heterogeneous structures on a small scale.
