  • Patent number: 11179075
Abstract: A system includes a sensor, a second connector, a local processor, a first telemetry module, a second telemetry module, and a remote processor. The sensor is coupled to a cord and the cord has a first connector. The second connector is coupled to a housing. The second connector is configured to mate with the first connector. The local processor is coupled to the second connector and disposed in the housing. The local processor is configured to execute instructions stored in a local memory. The local memory is disposed in the housing. The local processor is configured to generate calculated data based on a signal received at the second connector. The signal corresponds to a parameter measured by the sensor. The first telemetry module is coupled to the local processor and is configured to wirelessly communicate the calculated data. The second telemetry module is configured to communicate with the first telemetry module. The remote processor is coupled to the second telemetry module.

  • Patent number: 10448314
Abstract: A method in a client device of mitigating connection impact on network infrastructure includes: storing a record of network disconnection events; prior to initiating a network connection, determining whether the record of network disconnection events contains an indication of a local disconnection event; when the record of network disconnection events contains an indication of a local disconnection event, generating and transmitting a scanning request message containing a disconnect indicator; responsive to receiving a response to the scanning request message, determining whether a number of entries in the record of network disconnection events exceeds a threshold; when the number of entries in the record of network disconnection events exceeds the threshold, incrementing a connection interval according to a backoff interval; and sending a connection request message upon expiry of the connection interval.

  • Publication number: 20090325573
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for improving network connectivity utilizing a roaming procedure in which the mobile units are able to associate with multiple access ports during roaming. The mobile unit, while connected to one access port, associates with a second access port. While maintaining the connection to the first access port, the mobile unit performs various initialization procedures, including exchange of encryption keys, authentication, DHCP renewal, and the like. After a connection is established with the second access port, the mobile unit disconnects from the first access port. Thus, during the roaming process, the MU is connected to two APs at the same time for a short length of time.

  • Patent number: 7486666
Abstract: A system and/or a method that facilitates enhancing security in a wireless network for a mobile device that can connect to an access point by providing the mobile device with an association control list for intrusion protection is provided. A mobile device can utilize a wireless connection with at least one access point. In particular, the system includes a security component that utilizes the association control list to provide at least one of a valid access point to which the mobile can connect and a rogue access point to which the mobile device is not to connect, allowing the mobile device to eliminate and/or filter out any harmful access points that can be a potential safety hazard.

  • Patent number: 5878189
Abstract: A microprocessor based control system generates optimal field and armature currents for a separately excited DC motor. The current levels for the field and armature coils are set by feedback control. Armature and field current setpoints are established in accordance with tabulated values selected for providing a required torque and speed in an optimal fashion. A table of corresponding values of armature voltage is also maintained. If the actual armature voltage is below the calculated value, then the field current setpoint is boosted by an amount sufficient to optimize output torque.
