Abstract: Described is a hybrid electronic and magnetic structure that enables a transformer with fractional and reconfigurable effective turns ratios (e.g. 12:0.5, 12:2/3, 12:1, and 12:2) and hereinafter referred to as a Variable-Inverter-Rectifier-Transformer (VIRT). A VIRT is valuable in converters having wide operating voltage ranges and high step-up/down, as it offers a means to reduce turns count and copper loss within a transformer while facilitating voltage doubling and quadrupling. Such characteristics are beneficial for reducing the size of a transformer stage in many power electronics applications, such as USB wall chargers. In embodiments, a VIRT comprises a plurality of switching cells distributed around a magnetic core and coupled to half-turns wound through that core. By controlling operating modes of the switching cells, it is possible to gain control over flux paths and current paths in the transformer.

In response to detecting a selection of a broadcast stream, the system may obtain one or more associated commentary streams, which are prepared by a registered commentator and include audio and/or video. The system may then distribute a list of the associated commentary streams in a region of the user display. Advantageously, the list of commentary streams may provide a user with multiple points of view such as commentary specific for a home team and an away team.

The example method may also involve determining a lowest common ancestor to the first device and the second device on the network.

Abstract: An adjustable bed foundation includes an adjustable frame and at least one height adjuster configured to raise and lower a portion of the adjustable frame. The adjustable frame defines a support surface, a bottom surface opposite the support surface, and a plurality of lateral side surfaces intersecting each of the support surface and the bottom surface. A fabric at least partially covers the plurality of lateral side surfaces and is secured to a material covering the support surface. A massage device is disposed within the adjustable frame and configured to impart vibration to a mattress disposed on the adjustable frame. The massage device is secured to the adjustable frame by a flexible fastener, and a gap between the flexible fastener and the support surface is between about 2 mm and about 10 mm. Related methods are also disclosed.

The prism-coupling system has a light source configured to generate sequential measurement light beams or reflected light beams having different measurement wavelengths. The different measurement wavelengths generate different TM and TE mode spectra. The light source can include multiple light-emitting elements and optical filters or a broadband light source and optical filters. The optical filters can be sequentially inserted into either the input optical path or the output optical path of the prism-coupling system.

Exemplary broadcast content may include television shows, movies, and events that may include, for example, a plurality of live and/or recorded poker tournaments, eSports events, and the like. For each event, the systems also may enable a user/viewer to select from one or more live and/or recorded commentaries associated with the event. The event content and the commentary stream may be displayed in different display regions on a single device (such as a computer) or may be displayed simultaneously on different devices. Various technical advantages may be achieved by separating the event content from the commentary content. Revenue for the broadcast may be shared between the event content provider and the commentary content providers.

A woven or knitted rug is attached to a mesh material that can carry the loads that are applied to the rug top to hold the rug top from stretching or bunching when casters of a wheeled chair move over the rug top. The chair mat has a rigid layer to which a woven or knitted rug is attached to provide a hard underlying surface over when the wheeled chair may more easily move. The chair mat may be hinged to permit the chair mat to be folded to a smaller configuration where it is more readily stored or transported.

Exemplary games may include, for example, first-person shooter games, real-time strategy games, fighting games, multiplayer online battle arena games, and the like. The latency management server may analyze network characteristics of the clients and servers and determine an appropriate server for each client or sets of clients. In some embodiments, the latency management server may add latency to particular communications to balance response times between all clients, provide a latency advantage to one or more clients, and the like. Scoring systems may implemented based on in-game actions, and scoring may be weighted based on latencies. Other implementations also are described.
