  • Patent number: 11060246
Abstract: A baghouse apparatus for removing particulates from a 100% recycled asphalt pavement dryer exhaust air stream includes a drop out zone section having a water spray operable to initially drench an incoming air exhaust stream with water droplets while increasing air stream velocity, then slow the air stream velocity to cause drop out of particulates >1000 ?m from the slowed waste air stream, and collect the particulates dropped out of the waste air exhaust stream. The apparatus also includes a cyclonic scrubber section for further cooling the waste air exhaust stream while subjected the stream to a further water spray to condense aerosol vapor into droplets, a prefilter filtration section operable to collect and remove condensed aerosol droplets from the waste air stream; and a coalescing filtration section operable to remove 99% of remaining particulates from the waste air stream before discharge of the air stream to atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20130035958
Abstract: Disclosed is a medical record keeping system that includes a computer that operates a medical record software for maintaining patient records. The system may be operated in the following manner: (1) inputting an initial keystroke set that corresponds to the group consisting essentially of a symptom or negative review of systems, exam entries, or visit entries, (2) inputting a second keystroke set after the first keystroke set, the second keystroke set corresponds to a particular organ system or anatomical part, (3) inputting in a third keystroke set after the second keystroke set that pertains to a condition or medical observation. The steps of first typing, second typing, and third typing define the reference code, wherein the reference code results in the display of said at least one phrase.

  • Patent number: 6834604
Abstract: A laden ship is transported across a shallow portion of a watercourse by a submergible floating vessel, while the ship is lifted upwardly within the water by means of a vessel platform placed under the hull. The vessel is preferably comprised of a multiplicity of rigid U-shape, separately floodable, buoyant sections, including end sections, which have self-propulsion. The several sections are pivotably interconnected, as by hinge assemblies, so the transporter platforms adjust to major up or down bends along the length of the hull, during lifting. The platforms are surfaced with a layer of resilient deformable material, or movable blocks, to accommodate local irregularities in the bottom of the ship.

  • Publication number: 20020194083
Abstract: In a computer network, services are provisioned for a user over the network, typically via a series of messages. Depending on the particular service to be provisioned many network entities may be concerned with the provision of a particular service. However, an initiator of a service request may be unaware of all the network entities concerned with a service provision request. A system which receives a single request for service provisioning from an initiator, determines each network entity corresponding to the request from a common repository of network entities, and applies the operations concerned with the service provision request at each corresponding network entity, allows a service to be provisioned without manually searching and examining the network to determine the network entities concerned with a particular service provision request.

  • Patent number: 5377116
Abstract: A method of designing a cutting tool uses finite element numerical models to predict a response of the tool during a simulated cutting operation on a workpiece, and to simulate a chip-flow phenomenon occurring during the cutting operation. The chip-flow model incorporates representations of a fracture mechanism describing a chip separation phenomenon, a heat-generating mechanism describing a thermal coupling phenomenon, and a shear localization mechanism describing a shearing phenomenon wherein these phenomena occur during the cutting operation. The predicted tool response and the chip-flow simulation are evaluated by an artificial intelligence system to render rule-based judgments which are embodied in recommendations for continuously modifying the models and input design variables until the simulation and response converge to an optimal result.

  • Patent number: 4946678
Abstract: A process and nourishing agent for treating and nourishing the scalp and hair to promote conditions for the natural growth of hair on a human head for the reversal of male pattern baldness in individual cases. The process includes the steps of cleansing the scalp and hair, opening the pores and follicles in the scalp and softening and removing clogging deposits from the pores and hair follicles, and then applying to the scalp a nourishing agent comprising a mixture of chalaza extracted from chicken eggs, unflavored powdered gelatin, and aqueous saline solution. In the preferred form of the invention, the pores of the scalp and hair follicles are opened and sanitized by repeated applications of a benzoic acid mixture and heat, and the clogging deposits and foreign matter are softened and separated by the application of a carbamide peroxide solution and heat.
