Abstract: A talking ball has a speaking unit mounted inside including an adapter 30 which fits in an aperture in the ball to hold the unit in position. A plunger 21 fits against an inside surface and operates a test switch 16 when the ball is squeezed. The speaking unit is provided with a voice record chip, batteries and a vibration switch. When the ball is hit or bounced a message broadcast is initiated by the vibration switch.

Abstract: A speaking unit for a toy squirrel formed with a flexible plastic body 10 consists of two halves 12 and 13 containing electrical components. The unit has a loudspeaker 26 adjacent one end where an annular groove 24 is provided which fits against sides of an aperture 11. An electrical switch button 22 is held against an inside surface of the body 10 so that when the squirrel is squeezed a voice chip 20 is initiated to broadcast a message.

Abstract: A Game Apparatus is disclosed which is capable of forming the base of many different games and which comprises a container 1 for game apparatus elements and a lid 7 for the container, an upper surface of the container being provided with attachments whereby at least some of the game apparatus elements 10 can be mounted upon the container so that the container functions as a base for the assembled game apparatus and the lid of the container 7 includes a spinner 8, 9 for randomly choosing one of a plurality of instructions for use in playing a game with the game apparatus.
