  • Patent number: 11846258
Abstract: A system and method including one or more conduits, a pump system, and a controller. The conduits are fluidly coupled with a cooling device that is operably coupled with an engine to cool at least a portion of exhaust from the engine. The pump system pumps a cleaning fluid from a cleaning fluid source through the one or more conduits and into a flow path of a portion of the exhaust from the engine while the engine continues to operate. The controller monitors operation of the engine and determines whether the engine is operating in a designated state. The controller controls the pump system to pump the cleaning fluid into the flow path of a portion the exhaust from the engine to clean the cooling device while the engine operates in the designated state and the exhaust flows from the engine and through the cooling device.

  • Publication number: 20230401565
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system, in FIG. 1, for verifying authenticity of specific personal data responsive to a unique wallet address (70) on a public ledger (66) of an unregulated platform (60). The wallet contains one or more non-transferable NFTs each locked to the wallet and related to specific personal data. The non-transferable NFT was minted from a regulated platform (27) to which there is a record (76) in the public ledger. Supplying the unique address of the wallet to a service supplier affects a log-in of a client (18) to the service supplier (90), whereafter message interactions over a network (12) between the service supplier and the unregulated platform (60) permits searching for a relevant (72) non-transferable NFTs (74) stored in the wallet and related to the specific personal data. Return of any relevant non-transferable NFT related to the personal data thus verifies authenticity of the specific personal data by association with a regulated platform.

  • Publication number: 20230401574
Abstract: The present invention concerns the verification and authentication of independent digital wallets and, particularly, the linking of regulated and unregulated digital wallets on a public blockchain. An unregulated trading system has a public certificate module arranged selectively to write NFTs into specific unregulated accounts. A public ledger database of the blockchain system stores unregulated accounts which each contain: (i) a document type identifier having a related minted unique non-transferable NFT linked to an externally generated certificate hash and where each non-transferable NFT is obtained via writing of a smart contract and each non-transferable NFT is a permanent record for a description of the document type; and (ii) a link to a private wallet of a regulated account of a regulated trading platform. The link relates directly to the minted non-transferable NFT issued from the certificate module.

  • Publication number: 20230372702
Abstract: In embodiments, a wearable cardiac defibrillation (WCD) system includes one or more flexible ECG electrodes. The WCD system may have a support structure that is dimensioned to be worn so as to press the electrodes towards the body of the patient. The electrodes may be made from appropriate material so as to flex in order to match a contour of the body of the patient. An advantage over the prior art is that the flexible electrode may make better electrical contact with the patient's skin, and therefore provide a better ECG signal for the WCD system to perform its diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20230366994
Abstract: A method for determining false-positive detections of a lidar sensor in a scanning process of the surroundings of a vehicle involves, for every laser pulse that is reflected back to the lidar sensor in a scan range of this, checking whether this is reflected back several times in different distances. First reflections of a laser pulse that is reflected back several times are clustered and then, if a distance evaluation of reflections from the cluster produced reveals that the laser pulses are being reflected at a reflecting surface that is at least approximately homogeneous, further reflections following the respective first reflection are marked as false-positive detections.

  • Patent number: 11794005
Abstract: A Wearable Cardiac Defibrillator (WCD) system is configured to be worn by a patient who carries a mobile communication device. The mobile communication device has a user interface that is configured to enable the patient to enter wireless inputs. The WCD system includes a communication module that is configured to establish a local comlink with the mobile communication device. The WCD system also includes a tethered action unit that has a user interface configured to enable the patient to enter action inputs. The WCD system can perform some of its functions in response to the action inputs or to the wireless inputs. Since the wireless inputs can be provided from the mobile communication device instead of the action unit, the patient is less likely to attract attention when entering them, and thus exhibit better compliance.

  • Publication number: 20230319359
Abstract: Systems and methods for incorporating social content items into a produced video are provided. The system presents a producer interface to a user that allows the user to query for social content items. The user may then select and arrange social content items in an on-air queue. In an on-air mode, the system generates a broadcast-ready on-air format of the social content items and provides a video stream including the broadcast-ready social content items in the on-air queue to a video production system. The broadcast-ready social content items are incorporated into a produced video by the video production system. The user may navigate through the social content items in the on-air queue while on camera as part of the produced video.

  • Patent number: 11771909
Abstract: A wearable cardiac defibrillator (“WCD”) system may include a support structure that a patient can wear, an energy storage module that can store an electrical charge, and a discharge circuit that can discharge the electrical charge through the patient so as to shock him or her, while the patient is wearing the support structure. Embodiments may actively take into account bystanders, both to protect them from an inadvertent shock, and also to enlist their help. In some embodiments the WCD system includes a speaker system that transmits a sound designed to assist a bystander to perform CPR. Optionally CPR chest compressions received by the patient can be further detected, and feedback can be given. In embodiments, a WCD system may include a user interface that can be controlled to output CPR prompts tailored to a skill level of the bystander.

  • Publication number: 20230173287
Abstract: In embodiments, a wearable medical system (WMS) for an ambulatory patient, which can be a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system, analyzes the patient's ECG signal to generate a detection outcome. The WMS also has an ambulatory user interface that outputs a human-visible indication. A programming device, such as a PC, a tablet, etc., establishes a communication link with the WMS during an in-person session with the patient. The programming device may include a programming screen that reproduces the human-visible indication in real time. An advantage can be that the person programming the WMS need not strain to look also at the ambulatory user interface at the time they are looking at the programming device. Another advantage can be that the patient will recognize that he or she is better protected, and have their confidence in the WMS increased, and therefore better comply with wearing the WMS as required.

  • Patent number: 11665154
Abstract: The present invention concerns the verification and authentication of independent digital wallets and, particularly, the linking of regulated and unregulated digital wallets when there is established common ownership and a desire to achieve rapid linking of those different accounts supported across disparate platforms for inter-dependent wallet operation. System intelligence (30, 42, 46, 50) makes use of selective scraping of data, in third-party database resources (52, 54), relating to or associated with events or transaction recorded in the public (unregulated) wallet that belong to an initially unknown individual whose identity requires verification for linking purposes. In the event of a verified response to such a randomly generated query, a non-transferrable NFT is generated by the system intelligence (46) of the regulated platform (27) and these non-transferable NFTs are placed within an accessible public ledger (66) as well as the purview of the private ledger (26).
