  • Publication number: 20080308946
Abstract: Stacked semiconductor devices, semiconductor assemblies, methods of manufacturing stacked semiconductor devices, and methods of manufacturing semiconductor assemblies. One embodiment of a semiconductor assembly comprises a thinned semiconductor wafer having an active side releaseably attached to a temporary carrier, a back side, and a plurality of first dies at the active side. The individual first dies have an integrated circuit, first through die interconnects electrically connected to the integrated circuit, and interconnect contacts exposed at the back side of the wafer. The assembly further includes a plurality of separate second dies attached to corresponding first dies on a front side, wherein the individual second dies have integrated circuits, through die interconnects electrically connected to the integrated circuits and contact points at a back side, and wherein the individual second dies have a thickness of approximately less than 100 microns.

  • Patent number: 6050399
Abstract: A carrier and container assembly that includes a plurality of containers of identical size and geometry, and having identical labels with UPC indicia identically positioned thereon. A carrier of one-piece as-made plastic composition has a top flat wall with openings into which the containers are fastened such that the containers depend from the top wall, and a skirt that extends entirely around the periphery of the top wall and depends therefrom for a distance sufficient at least partially to cover the UPC indicia on the labels of the containers. UPC indicia associated with the carrier and container assembly is externally positioned on the carrier skirt.

  • Patent number: 5756679
Abstract: A pyridinoline composition in which pyridinoline is derivatized specifically at its aliphatic hydroxyl group by a selected chemical group is disclosed. In various embodiments, the composition may be used as a standard for HPLC or immunoassay of pyridinoline, a pyridinoline immunogen for producing anti-pyridinoline antibodies, and a solid-phase reagent for use in an immunoassay kit. Also disclosed are methods for making and using the composition.

  • Patent number: 5350855
Abstract: O-acylated pyridinium compounds in which the 3-hydroxy moiety derivatized specifically at its aliphatic hydroxyl group by a selected acyl group is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5209346
Abstract: A carrier and carrier stock comprising a plurality of severable interconnected carriers formed from a single sheet of resilient polymeric material such as low density polyethylene for machine application to substantially identical containers. Each carrier has container receiving apertures which are defined by band segments that include outer segments formed with tear tabs. Each tab has a pair of diverging slits extending from the sides thereof toward the outer segments, each slot terminating short of the outer segment. In this manner, the tab can be grasped either with a right hand or left hand and pulled to sever the outer segment releasing a container in the associated aperture.

  • Patent number: 5042963
Abstract: An air turbine starter for use aboard aircraft includes a dual range power train and a clutch automatically shifting between the ranges according to the use being experienced by the starter. Main engine starts may be achieved more quickly, while ground check out of aircraft systems using the starter to power main engine accessory devices via the engine gear box may be performed with better power input to the accessories and improved efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4915217
Abstract: A container package comprising an array of cans, each of which has a body portion, an annular bead on the upper end thereof having a smaller diameter than the body portion and an inclined portion extending from the body portion to the bead, and a carrier. The carrier comprises a sheet of flexible plastic material having a plurality of openings forming an array for receiving the ends of the cans. The cans are inserted upwardly into the openings and retained by the carrier by flexing of the periphery of each opening upwardly against the bead of each can. The modulus of elasticity, the thickness of the sheet and the spacing and size of the openings are such that the cans are maintained in abutting relationship. The upper ends of the cans are substantially in a single plane when the package is lifted through finger openings in the sheet.

  • Patent number: 4911290
Abstract: A container package comprising an array of cans, each of which has an annular bead on the upper end thereof and a carrier. The carrier includes a sheet of flexible plastic material having a plurality of openings forming an array for receiving the ends of the cans a film of plastic material coextensive with the sheet and bonded to the periphery of the sheet so that it is flat and taut on the sheet. The cans are inserted upwardly into the openings and retained by the carrier by flexing of the periphery of each opening upwardly against the chime or bead of each can. As the cans are inserted, the film is stretched so that it is taut about the upper ends of the cans. The film is stretched substantially flat and taut from one peripheral edge to an opposite peripheral edge. The carrier thus protects the cans from contaminants. The carrier supports the array of the cans so that the upper ends of the cans are in a single plane when the package is lifted through finger openings in the film and sheet.
