  • Publication number: 20240421416
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a valve assembly for a battery pack. The valve assembly incudes a body having a flange extending from an outer sidewall at a first end, an inner sidewall that defines a chamber, and a plate disposed between the first end and a second end. The plate includes a plurality of vents formed therethrough. The valve assembly further includes a valve element that is operably coupled to the first end of the body, a sealing element that is disposed between a portion of the valve element and the body, a retainer, and a biasing element. The body is a unitary component formed of a metal material. The retainer is centrally disposed in the body and is configured to connect the valve element with the body.

  • Patent number: 11964803
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a venting system that includes a wall of a lid or a container. The lid or container defines a central longitudinal axis, and a line segment that is measured from the longitudinal axis to an outermost surface of the lid or container, and a pressure relief feature that is disposed along the lid or container. The pressure relief feature includes a thinned region of the lid or container that defines a minimum thickness that is less than 40% of a maximum thickness of the respective lid or container.

  • Publication number: 20230219725
Abstract: A closure 20 for a pressurized container having a plate with a top side 24 and a bottom side 28, a first notch 22 that extends about a first axis A1 along the top side, and a second notch 26 that extends about the first axis along the bottom side. The first and second notch form a membrane 62 that is capable of being ruptured when a maximum pressure causes the membrane to rupture.

  • Publication number: 20230075496
Abstract: An electrical contact assembly includes a first component and a second component having a stem with a first end and a second end opposite the first end. A flange extends from the first end and defines an electrical contact surface area. The second end is permanently joined to the first component at a mating surface. The mating surface defines a first surface area at the second end and the electrical surface area is equal to or greater than the first surface area.
