  • Publication number: 20120131656
Abstract: A system for secure information storage and delivery includes a vault repository that includes a secure vault associated with a user, wherein the secure vault is configured to receive at least one data entry. A mobile vault server coupled to the vault repository creates a mobile vault on a mobile device based on the secure vault and is capable of authenticating the mobile device based on user authentication information. The mobile vault server includes a mobile device handler that communicates with the mobile device. A synchronization utility determines whether the at least one data entry on the secure vault is transferable to or storable on the mobile vault. and transfers the data entry from the secure vault to a corresponding data entry on the mobile vault if the at least one data entry on the secure vault is determined to be transferable to or storable on the mobile vault.

  • Patent number: 8159309
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to using windowing to reduce the bandwidth of an amplitude modulation (AM) power supply input signal (PSIS), which is fed to an AM power supply to provide envelope power to an RF power amplifier stage via an AM power supply output signal. By reducing the bandwidth, noise levels from the AM power supply may be reduced. However, although the bandwidth of the AM PSIS is reduced, the AM power supply output signal may track the AM of the RF power amplifier stage closely enough to meet linearity requirements and to provide high efficiency. The windowing may be based on dividing a stream of AM input samples into a stream of input windows, from which a stream of output windows is created to provide a stream of windowed AM input samples that are used to provide a windowed AM PSIS to the AM power supply.

  • Patent number: 8064863
Abstract: The present invention relates to image rejection calibration in a radio frequency (RF) receiver. In one embodiment, the receiver includes a receiver front-end and an image rejection calibration system. The image rejection calibration system provides a first test signal to an RF input of the receiver front-end, and obtains first measurements of a quadrature output signal output from the receiver front-end while the first test signal is applied to the RF input. The image rejection calibration system then applies a second test signal to the RF input of the receiver front-end that is approximately 90 degrees out-of-phase with the first test signal, and obtains second measurements of the quadrature output signal while the second test signal is applied to the RF input. Based on the first and second measurements, the image rejection calibration system determines an amplitude error and a phase error of the receiver front-end.

  • Publication number: 20110224872
Abstract: A vehicle controlled via a joystick has a turn request mode and a return to center request. While the operator is requesting a turn, steered wheels are turned at a predetermined rate, steering angle continuing to change while the turn request is being applied. When the operator ceases requesting a turn, the return to center mode is invoked: a direction of a virtual wheel of the vehicle is determined and such direction is maintained. A vehicle angular velocity is computed based on vehicle velocity and a virtual steering angle, which is the angle between the direction the virtual wheel is pointing and the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. To maintain the direction of the virtual wheel during a return to center, the virtual wheel is turned at an angular velocity equal in magnitude to the angular velocity of the vehicle and in a direction to return to center.

  • Publication number: 20110216412
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a master tool is disclosed including a top plate, a plurality of buttons, and a releasable locking mechanism. The top plate has an array of openings and a top side with a background patterned surface. The plurality of buttons are in the array of openings and configured to be repositioned to selectively orient their orientable patterned surface into a different orientation with respect to the background patterned surface. The releasable locking mechanism releasably locks the position of the plurality of buttons within the array of openings to hold the selected orientation of each orientable patterned surface with respect to the background patterned surface to provide a top surface pattern. The top surface pattern of the master tooling may be transferred to form a surface pattern into retro-reflective sheeting during its manufacture.

  • Publication number: 20110144787
Abstract: A method to determine a distribution profile of an element in a film. The method comprises exciting an electron energy of an element deposited in a first film, obtaining a first spectrum associating with the electron energy, and removing a background spectrum from the first spectrum. Removing the background value generates a processed spectrum. The method further includes matching the processed spectrum to a simulated spectrum with a known simulated distribution profile for the element in a film comparable to the first film. A distribution profile is obtained for the element in the first film based on the matching of the processed spectrum to a simulated spectrum selected from the set of simulated spectra.

  • Publication number: 20110128963
Abstract: A system and method for communicating over a single virtual channel. The method includes reserving a first group of credits of a credit pool for a first traffic class and a second group of credits of the credit pool for a second traffic class. In addition, a first and second respective groups of tags are reserved from a tag pool for the first and second traffic class. A packet may then be selected from a first buffer for transmission over the virtual channel. The packet may include a traffic indicator of the first traffic class operable to allow the packet to pass a packet of the second traffic class from a second buffer. The method further includes sending the packet over the virtual channel and adjusting the first group of credits and the first group of tags based on having sent a packet of the first traffic class.

  • Patent number: 7884681
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include amplitude-modulated or polar-modulated radio frequency (RF) power amplifier circuitry, in which an envelope power supply input to an RF power amplifier is powered by a pre-distorted amplitude modulation (AM) power supply. The pre-distorted AM power supply receives an AM signal, which is then pre-distorted and amplified to provide an AM power supply signal to the RF power amplifier. The pre-distortion of the AM signal is used to improve the linearity, the efficiency, or both, of the RF power amplifier. The pre-distortion provides a feed-forward system, which may allow use of a reduced bandwidth pre-distorted AM signal to an AM power supply and a reduced bandwidth AM power supply, which may increase efficiency.
