Abstract: A method includes transforming, based on a first transform, a first markup language document associated with a first version of a schema to generate a second markup language document associated with a second version of the schema. The second markup language document is representative of a third markup language document associated with the second version of the schema and the first transform represents a transform from the first version of the schema to the second version of the schema. The method further includes comparing the second markup language document to the third markup language document to identify whether at least one discrepancy exists between the second markup language document and the third markup language document. The method additionally includes determining a suitability of the first transform based on the comparison of the second markup language document to the third markup language document.

Abstract: A stay-in-place form for casting concrete structures comprises a plurality of elongate panels interconnectable in edge-to-edge relationship via complementary connector components on their longitudinal edges to define at least a portion of a perimeter of the form. Each panel comprises a first contoured connector component comprising a protrusion on a first longitudinal edge thereof and a second contoured connector component comprising a receptacle on a second longitudinal edge thereof. The panels are connectable to one another in edge-to-edge relationship by positioning the protrusion of a first panel in or near the receptacle of a second panel and effecting relative pivotal motion between the first connector component of the first panel and the second connector component of the second panel to extend the protrusion of the first panel into the receptacle of the second panel.

Abstract: The present invention includes methods for investigating a site for possible selective removal of sediment containing a contaminant. The methods include calculating an adjusted contaminant concentration for sediment zones on the site. The site preferably contains a water course. The methods may also include determining whether sediment zone need remediation by comparing the adjusted contaminant concentration to a standard. The invention also includes a system for carrying out the described methods, at least partially implemented in a computer.

Abstract: A computer implemented method and computer system for management of materials on a construction site. In one embodiment, at least one cost scenario is defined for moving at least one material with a vehicle pool. A status of a project which uses the material is then determined. A report is generated which identifies a vehicle of the vehicle pool and defines a load of the material which is to be moved by the vehicle from a first location to a second location.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for determining probable meanings of a word. A prior probability is established of the probable meanings of the word. A context frequency probability is established of the probable meanings of the word. The probability that each meaning is a correct meaning may be provided in accordance with both the prior probability and the context frequency probability.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that facilitate mitigating column gain mismatch in a CMOS imaging System-on-Chip (iSoC) sensor. Tunable voltages that mimic presence of photo-charge can be provided to test pixels in one or more rows of a pixel array. Moreover, column-specific digital gain corrections can be calibrated based upon input data received from the test pixels. During calibration, actual data can be compared to a target expected to be obtained via an analog readout architecture. The calibrated, column-specific digital gain corrections can be utilized to correct for column gain mismatch to yield output data. Further, correction values corresponding to the column-specific digital gain corrections can be retained in and retrieved from memory. The correction values, for example, can be a function of a scaling parameter that is tuned to match an available memory dynamic to a range of uncorrected gain mismatch.

Abstract: Fastener-receiving components are disclosed for use in a structure fabricated from a curable material (e.g. concrete, other cementitious materials or other curable materials). The fastener-receiving component comprises: one or more fastener-receiving channels, each fastener-receiving channel defined by a pair of longitudinally and inwardly extending sidewalls and comprising one or more break-through elements which extend longitudinally and transversely between the sidewalls for receiving fasteners that penetrate therethrough; and one or more anchor features that define one or more corresponding concavities shaped to receive liquid material when the structure is formed and to prevent outward movement of the fastener-receiving component when the liquid material cures. Kits and methods are provided for using the fastener-receiving components.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for expanding a user query based on user learned popularity rankings. User queries often have no exact match, resulting in a user having to refine or abandon the search. The disclosed system obtains popularity rankings based on the content of a user query. The system expands the user query based on the popularity rankings. Thereafter, query results based on the expanded user query may be provided to the user. The system also regularly learns from user behavior and adapts the popularity rankings according to the learned information.
