  • Publication number: 20120234934
Abstract: A special drive system that provides automatic and uniform application control of granular materials. It provides an automatic application control of a granular material from a granular material spreader and is comprised of (a) at least one electric motor for driving the conveyor and spinner at a speed, the said speed which determines a rate of discharge of the granular material; (b) a power source for the motor; (c) a means for controlling the power from the power source to the at least one motor; (d) a means for inputting a signal to the means for controlling the power; (e) a wiring harness with control and power electrical connectors; and (f) a means to mechanically mount the special drive system to the grain spreader wherein the result of the system is an accurately controlled rate of discharge and hence dispensing of the granular materials.

  • Patent number: 6211728
Abstract: A Class-D switching amplifier (20) having a terinary modulation scheme implemented in an H-bridge configuration. The present invention has four states of operation, and achieves increased efficiency and reduced cost by delivering current to the load only when needed, and once delivered, maintaining the current. The Class-D switching amplifier eliminates the need for post amplifier filters.

  • Patent number: 5561834
Abstract: A process for pneumatically isostatically compacting a sintered compact to densify the compact wherein the surface of the compact is oxidized to form a gas impervious oxide barrier on said surface before the compact is subjected to the pneumatic isostatic compaction process. Oxidation of the compact surface is preferably accomplished by steaming the compact before or after sintering.

  • Patent number: 5536985
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an armature for a DC motor comprising the steps of: (a) retaining a plurality of armature conductors pre-positioned in a pre-mold position; (b) placing the armature conductors in a mold; (c) adding to the mold a predetermined quantity of soft-magnetic particles, each soft-magnetic particle coated with a non-magnetic material, wherein said particles surround at least a portion of each of the conductors; (d) applying pressure to the mold to affect a compaction molding of the coated soft magnetic particles into a composite structure, wherein the particles and the non-magnetic material form a composite structure armature core substantially encapsulating the conductors within the armature core.
