    Abstract: Audio/video recorders are presented for recording audio and video of various types of proceedings, including court proceedings. In some examples, audio/video recorders may obtain case information associated with a case identifier from a case management database, and associate at least some of the case information with one or more audio channel inputs of the audio interface. In some examples, audio/video recorders may associate a speaker with an audio channel input of the audio interface, determine that an amplitude of an audio signal received at the audio channel input is above a threshold, determine a time when the amplitude of the audio signal at the audio channel was determined to be above the threshold, and generate metadata as a timeline indicating that the first speaker began speaking at the first time.
