  • Patent number: 11973139
Abstract: An improved laterally diffused MOSFET (LDMOS) device enables an ability to tune some device parameters independently of other device parameters and/or provides a device architecture with component dimensions that significantly improve device performance. The LDMOS device includes a stepped gate having a first portion with a thin gate insulator over a body region and a second portion with a thick gate insulator over part of a drift region. In some embodiments, a gate shield is disposed over another part of the drift region to reduce a gate-drain capacitance of the LDMOS device. In some embodiments, the LDMOS device has a specific resistance (Rsp) of about 5-8 mOhm*mm2, a gate charge (Qg) of about 1.9-2.0 nC/mm2, and an Rsp*Qg product figure of merit of about 10-15 mOhm*nC.

  • Patent number: 11948302
Abstract: An in-line holographic microscope can be used to analyze a video stream to track individual colloidal particles' three-dimensional motions. The system and method can provide real time nanometer resolution, and simultaneously measure particle sizes and refractive indexes. An assay using the holographic microscope for holographic particle characterization directly detect viruses, antibodies and related targets binding to the surfaces of specifically functionalized micrometer-scale colloidal probe beads. The system detects binding of targets by directly measuring associated changes in the bead's diameter without the need for downstream labeling and analysis.

  • Publication number: 20240069286
Abstract: A dual-layer coupling arrangement comprises a first coupling waveguide disposed within a photonic integrated circuit (at a position over an included optical signal waveguide) and a second coupling waveguide disposed above the first coupling waveguide. The first and second coupling waveguides are formed to exhibit splitter configurations that terminate as a pair arms separated by a distance suitable for creating beams that would coincide with a circular mode field of the core region of a coupling optical fiber. The vertical spacing between the first and second coupling waveguides is set so that the pairs of beams exiting from the terminating arms of the coupling waveguides coincide with a circular mode field.

  • Publication number: 20230339298
Abstract: A vehicle door assembly includes an inner door panel that defines a door cavity, a latch mechanism and a reinforcing bracket. The latch mechanism has a latch lever that moves when the latch mechanism is operated to release the vehicle door from a closed orientation. The reinforcing bracket has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to a forward area of the inner door panel. The second end has an attachment portion, a lever capture portion and a tab portion. The attachment portion is attached to a rearward area of the inner door panel. The lever capture portion is outboard from the latch lever. The tab portion is adjacent to the lever capture portion. The reinforcing bracket is shaped and configured to deform in response to an impact event moving the lever capture portion inboard toward the latch lever interfering with movement thereof.
