  • Publication number: 20230257009
Abstract: Examples relate to digital context aware (DCA) data collection. In some examples, a DCA start location component is positioned at a first location along a travel route, and a DCA end location component is positioned at a second location along the travel route. In response to using a wireless interface to detect the DCA start location component, data collection of measurements by a sensor are initiated. In response to using the wireless interface to detect the DCA end location component, the data collection by the sensor is halted.

  • Patent number: 11722812
Abstract: A head-worn sound reproduction device is provided in the form of left and right earphones, which can either be clipped to each ear or mounted on other headgear. The earphones deliver high fidelity audio to a user's eardrums from near-ear range, in a lightweight form factor that is fully “non-blocking” (allows coupling in and natural hearing of ambient sound). Each earphone has a woofer component that produces bass frequencies, and a tweeter component that produces treble frequencies. The woofer outputs the bass frequencies from a position close to the ear canal, while the tweeter outputs treble frequencies from a position that is either close to the ear canal or further away. In certain embodiments, the tweeter is significantly further from the ear canal than the woofer, leading to a more expansive perceived “sound stage”, but still with a “pure” listening experience.

  • Patent number: 11721330
Abstract: Techniques for intelligently selecting a component to execute with respect to a natural language user input are described. A natural language processing (NLP) system may receive first data representing a natural language input. The NLP system may determine first and second scores representing first and second confidences that first and second components are to be invoked to perform actions responsive to the natural language input, respectively. Based on the first and second scores, the NLP system may determine further information is needed to determine which of the first or second component is to be invoked. The NLP system may query a user for the further information. Based on the further information, the NLP system may determine third and fourth scores representing third and fourth confidences that the first and second components are to be invoked to perform actions responsive to the natural language input, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230205057
Abstract: An image capture device is described that includes a body; a mounting structure that is connected to the body; an integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA) that defines an optical axis and extends through the body and the mounting structure; and an accessory that is releasably connectable to the mounting structure via rotation through a range of motion less than approximately 90 degrees. The mounting structure and the accessory include corresponding angled bearing surfaces that are configured for engagement such that rotation of the accessory relative to the mounting structure creates a bearing effect that displaces the accessory along the optical axis to thereby reduce any axial force required during connection and disconnection of the accessory.

  • Publication number: 20230168933
Abstract: A method of memory deallocation across a trust boundary between a first software component and a second software component is described. Some memory is shared between the first and second software components. An in-memory message passing facility is implemented using the shared memory. The first software component is used to deallocate memory from the shared memory which has been allocated by the second software component. The deallocation is done by: taking at least one allocation to be freed from the message passing facility; and freeing the at least one allocation using a local deallocation mechanism while validating that memory access to memory owned by data structures related to memory allocation within the shared memory are within the shared memory.
