  • Publication number: 20130069955
Abstract: A method performed by a data processing apparatus, in which the method includes selecting an object in which the object represents input defining a drawing, each drawing comprising location coordinates and temporal coordinates, in which each location coordinate is associated with a respective temporal coordinate; associating the object with a respective clock in a hierarchy of clocks, each clock in the hierarchy having a respective rate of progression that is coupled to the rate of progression of one or more parent clocks in the hierarchy; and generating an animation by drawing the location coordinates according to the rate of progression of the clock associated with the object. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computing platforms and computer program products.

  • Publication number: 20130069954
Abstract: A method performed by data processing apparatus, the method including: rendering a first object on a display, the first object having first location coordinates and first temporal coordinates, in which the first location coordinates define a first drawing and each first location coordinate is associated with a respective temporal coordinate; receiving input defining a second object, the second object having second location coordinates and second temporal coordinates, in which the second location coordinates define a second drawing and each second location coordinate is associated with a respective second temporal coordinate; applying a transformation to the first location coordinate(s) responsive to receiving each second location coordinate, based on a most recently received second location coordinate and generating an animation by rendering the transformed first location coordinate(s) on the display according to the respective first temporal coordinates.

  • Publication number: 20130069956
Abstract: A method performed by a data processing apparatus, in which the method includes determining multiple first temporal coordinates, while receiving input defining a drawing from an input device, the drawing including multiple first object location coordinates received during a time period, in which each first temporal coordinate is based on a time when a respective one of the first object coordinates was received, receiving an input defining an animation period, applying a transformation to the first temporal coordinates to provide multiple transformed temporal coordinates respectively corresponding to the first image location coordinates, and periodically generating, based on the animation period, an animation by drawing the first object location coordinates according to the respective transformed temporal coordinates. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computing platforms and computer program products.

  • Publication number: 20120218381
Abstract: Presentation of cross-platform multimedia content may be controlled by a media player. Cross-platform content may include a two-dimensional (2D) graphics component, a three-dimensional (3D) graphics component, and a video component. Each component may be rendered as a separate layer, and each component may be rendered independently from one another. The multimedia player may synchronize the separate renderings for presentation. In one embodiment, the rendering of at least one of the separate layers may be performed by a hardware resource separate from the hardware resource executing the multimedia player. Each separate layer may be composited for display. In one embodiment, the compositing may be performed by a hardware resource separate from the hardware resource executing the multimedia player.
