  • Patent number: 6773049
Abstract: A seat assembly for an off-road vehicle includes a seat having a bottom surface, and a resilient seat suspension supporting the seat. The seat is supported at least in part by a first bumper element carried by the seat suspension. The first bumper element includes a protruding portion interposed between the seat bottom surface and the seat suspension, the protruding portion supporting a portion of the seat from the seat suspension. The seat suspension and the first bumper element are arranged to adjust a length of the protruding portion. The length of the protruding portion can be adjusted to set an elevation of the seat at the point of support by the first bumper element. The seat can also be adjustably connected to another part of the resilient seat suspension by use of a seat bracket with selectable holes to register with holes provided on the resilient seat suspension.

  • Patent number: 4441266
Abstract: A skid shoe mounting arrangement detachably mounted to the side of the snow blower auger housing such that the skid shoe mounting assembly can be easily reassembled to a plurality of preset heights relative to said auger housing.

  • Patent number: 4409748
Abstract: The rotation assembly is comprised of a frame structure having a top surface. A longitudinal slot is formed along the top surface extending therethrough. A first pulley and second pulley are rotatably mounted to the top surface of the frame such that the slot is generally therebetween. A hydraulic cylinder is fixably mounted to the frame and has a pin extending through the cylinder arm of the hydraulic cylinder and the slot. Rotatably mounted on the pin atop the frame surface is a third pulley, such that activation of the cylinder arm causes the third pulley to travel along a path defined by the slot. The frame is fixably mounted to the rear of the snowblower housing. A first and second cable is fixably attached at one end to the side of the snowblower chute. The cables are looped around the pulleys in such a manner that activation of the cylinder causes the relative length of the cables with respect to the pulleys to vary, resulting in the rotation of the snowblower chute.

  • Patent number: 4278302
Abstract: A grouser bar track assembly for a snowmobile that includes a central and two outer continuous belt members are spaced apart in a direction transverse to the length of the belts so as to define a pair of parallel grooves extending around the assembly. There is provided a series of transversely extending grouser bars fixed to and projecting outwardly from the external surfaces of the belts so as to extend across the grooves between the respective adjacent edges of the central and outer belts. Each of the grouser bars have built-in flex points and each of the flex points of adjacent bars are offset in a transverse direction from those of the adjacent bars. Transversely extending surface lugs project from the outer surface of the respective belts and are in advance of and closely adjacent the flex point of the next adjacent grouser bar. The lugs offer a transverse stiffness at the flex point.
