  • Publication number: 20230046418
Abstract: A system and method including one or more conduits, a pump system, and a controller. The conduits are fluidly coupled with a cooling device that is operably coupled with an engine to cool at least a portion of exhaust from the engine. The pump system pumps a cleaning fluid from a cleaning fluid source through the one or more conduits and into a flow path of a portion of the exhaust from the engine while the engine continues to operate. The controller monitors operation of the engine and determines whether the engine is operating in a designated state. The controller controls the pump system to pump the cleaning fluid into the flow path of a portion the exhaust from the engine to clean the cooling device while the engine operates in the designated state and the exhaust flows from the engine and through the cooling device.

  • Patent number: 11567389
Abstract: A display is described which comprises a plurality of pixels (12), wherein each pixel (12) comprises a plasmonic resonator (26) including first and second metallic material elements (16, 22) and incorporating a layer (18) of a phase change material, the plasmonic resonator (26) being arranged such that in one material state of the phase change material (18) the electric field coupling between the second metallic material element (22) and the phase change material layer (18) is strong and so strong absorption of selected wavelengths of the incident light occurs, whereas in another state of the phase change material (18) the electric field coupling between the metallic material elements (16, 22) and the phase change material layer (18), and between the first and second metallic material elements (16, 22) is weak and so re-radiation of incident light occurs, the pixel (12) being of high reflectance.

  • Patent number: 11556312
Abstract: A co-processor for performing a matrix multiplication of an input matrix with a data matrix in one step may be provided. The co-processor receives input signals for the input matrix as optical signals. A plurality of photonic memory elements is arranged at crossing points of an optical waveguide crossbar array. The plurality of memory elements is configured to store values of the data matrix. Input signals are connected to input lines of the optical waveguide crossbar array. Output lines of the optical waveguide crossbar array represent a dot-product between a respective column of the optical waveguide crossbar array and the received input signals, and values of elements of the input matrix to be multiplied with the data matrix correspond to light intensities received at input lines of the respective photonic memory elements. Additionally, different wavelengths are used for each column of the input matrix optical signals.

  • Publication number: 20230008548
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for progressively decrementing unlock requirements for a game feature of a base game based on wagers made on the game. The game feature corresponds to in-game opportunities such as incorporating special symbols and multipliers or to other games, jackpots, or progressives that increase the chances of winning for a player using the game feature. As wagers, for example, into a wager pool the amount required to unlock the game feature is progressively reduced, or decremented over time. The amount is decremented by some proportion of the wagers made in the wager pool. As the wagers increase, the amount required to unlock the game feature decreases until the game feature is unlocked.

  • Patent number: 11504770
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for fabricating a metal or ceramic component using a 3D printer. An entire 3D printed piece, including both the metal or ceramic component and one or more support structures, is created of a first metal or ceramic material. A sensitization layer is applied to all or part of the 3D printed piece to chemically alter portions of the first metal or ceramic material near the surface making those portions of the material more sensitive to the etching process. The etching process causes the affected material to deplete and separates the component from the support structures without requiring mechanical machining.

  • Publication number: 20220343750
Abstract: A cargo alerting system that is self-arming. Placing a child in a car seat having sensors arms the system. A keyfob, or smartphone, which is carried by the user, outputs an alarm when the keyfob is moved farther than a pre-determined distance from the base, which may be in the car seat, or otherwise connected to a child in the vehicle. This preset distance could be any desired distance. The keyfob and alarm refocus the user's attention on the cargo within the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220210721
Abstract: A communication technique for establishing communication among an access point, an electronic device, and a radio node in a cellular-telephone network is described. In this communication technique, the electronic device is pre-provisioned by the radio node with an identifier of the cellular-telephone network. Moreover, the access point may advertise support for one or more LWA protocols in beacons. In response to a query from the electronic device, the access point may provide identifiers of the one or more cellular-telephone networks supported by the access point. If one of these identifiers matches the identifier, the electronic device may associate with the access point. Then, the access point may receive LWA traffic from the radio node and may forward the LWA traffic to the electronic device.
