  • Patent number: 11583067
Abstract: An extension adapter assembly includes a cylinder that has a first well extending therein and a second well extending therein. The first well insertably receives an end of an extension pole and the second well insertably receives a handle of a paint brush for attaching the paint brush to the extension pole. A nut is threadably coupled to the cylinder and the paint brush extends through the second nut. A compression fitting is positioned in the nut and the compression fitting compresses against the handle of the paint brush when the nut is tightened. In this way the handle of the paint brush is inhibited from being removed from the second well.

  • Publication number: 20060151670
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling fuel tank flammability control systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a system for use with an aircraft or other vehicle includes a flammability control system and a controller operably coupled to the flammability control system. The flammability control system can be configured to control the development of flammable vapors in a fuel tank of the vehicle. The controller can be configured to receive one or more signals relating to a condition of the fuel tank and control operation of the flammability control system at least partially in response to the one or more fuel tank condition signals. In another embodiment, the controller can be configured to receive one or more signals relating to an operational phase of the aircraft and control operation of the flammability control system at least partially in response to the one or more aircraft operation signals.

  • Publication number: 20060053372
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for teaching a person how to perform a task within a computer program with at least one graphical user interface object. A script is formulated that contains step-by-step instructions indicating to a person how to perform a task within a computer program through interacting with at least one graphical user interface object of the computer program. The script is formulated by reference to an entity map, which contains programming instructions for accessing at least one graphical user interface object of the program to perform a step of the task. The script is executed by displaying a partial graphical overlay on top of an actual, non-simulated graphical user interface of the program. Each graphical user overlay instructs a user how to provide pertinent user input to graphical user interface objects of the computer program.

  • Publication number: 20050173017
Abstract: An inerting system (10) for an aircraft (12) includes one or more fuel tank circuits (15) associated with fuel tanks (16). An air source (17) supplies pressurized air. A heat exchanger (56) cools the pressurized air. An air separation module (46) is in fluid communication with the heat exchanger (56) and separates inerting gas from the pressurized air. A controller (40) controls flow of the inerting gas from the air separation module (46) to the fuel tanks (16).
