Publication number: 20260098659Abstract: A heat pump assembly may be securable to a tank of a water heater. The heat pump assembly may include a base pan, and inlet and outlet tubes including flanges. The base pan defines inlet and outlet openings each extending between upper and lower faces. The tubes extend through the openings, and are configured to secure the heat pump assembly to the tank by securing the base pan to an upper pan of the tank. A water heater may include a tank and the heat pump assembly secured to the upper pan of the tank by the tubes. A method for making a water heater may include introducing inlet and outlet tubes through openings in an upper pan of a tank. The method may further include introducing the tubes through openings in a base pan of a heat pump assembly to secure the heat pump assembly to the tank.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2023Publication date: April 9, 2026Inventors: Govinda MAHAJAN, David ADLER

Patent number: 12354502Abstract: A method for making labels comprising providing a plastic substrate layer and a paper substrate layer. The paper substrate layer comprises a printed display information sheet, wherein the printed display information sheet comprises a plurality of display information tags arranged in an array. The plastic substrate layer is coupled to each of the rows of display information tags within a first portion of the display information tags to form a composite substrate row. A first line of perforations is cut into a width of the composite substrate at one or more first spaced intervals, a length of the first spaced intervals being defined by a length of the display information tags. A second line of perforations is cut into a width of the composite substrate at one or more second spaced intervals, a length of the second spaced intervals being defined by a height of the display information tags.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2023Date of Patent: July 8, 2025Assignee: Avery Dennison Retail Information Services LLCInventors: Michael Wilkinson, David Adler

Publication number: 20250075944Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamic and automated control of a heating appliance based on atmospheric pressure conditions are provided. Particularly, a controller of the heating appliance may be configured to automatically adjust the amount of gas and/or air provided to the combustion chamber of the heating appliance based on changes in atmospheric pressure in the environment of the heating appliance. Changes in atmospheric pressure may impact the combustion process within the heating appliance, which may lead to inefficiencies in the operation of the heating appliance if the rate at which gas and/or air is provided remain constant during pressure changes. To mitigate these impacts, a barometric pressure sensor may be used to measure the atmospheric pressure at any given time and may provide this data to the controller. The controller may then adjust the rate at which gas and/or air is provided within the heating appliance to reduce such inefficiencies.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2024Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Michael John Knieser, Mohammad Taha Ahmad, Robert Aaron Oglesbee, Shawn Allan Reed, Darryl J. Farley, David Adler, Ryan Michael Ludwig, Daniel Joseph Mitchell, Robert Krmpotich, Stephen Maciulewicz
