Abstract: A gift box assembly is disclosed comprising a box base having an empty interior space for receiving a gift item therein. The box base is constructed of four side panels, a base, and a lid wherein at least two of the four side panels include a first rabbet to receive a base panel and a second rabbet to receive a lid. A striking agent is provided with the box base to forcibly enter the lid to reveal the gift item.
