A needle body defines a throat region between a nozzle wall and the needle body. The needle body is configured to cause a gap between a rear needle surface of the needle body and the nozzle wall to decrease as the rear needle surface extends toward the throat region. The jet pump system is configured to discharge the higher pressure gas through the throat region and mix the higher pressure gas and the lower pressure gas in a mixing portion of an exhaust portion.

    Abstract: A breathing system includes a pressurized fluid supply, a downstream breathing device, and a fluid regulator comprising. The fluid regulator includes an inlet in fluid connection with the fluid supply, and an outlet in fluid connection with a downstream breathing device. The fluid supply supplies fluid at a first pressure to the inlet, and the fluid is at a second pressure at the outlet that is lower than the first pressure. The fluid regulator also includes a boost tube disposed within an outlet portion of the fluid regulator. The boost tube includes a body defining a length and a plurality of apertures extending through the length of the body and configured to reduce the turbulence of the fluid flowing from the outlet to the downstream breathing device.

    Abstract: An example injector includes a first conduit defining a first flow path including a first choke for a first fluid and a second conduit defining a second flow path including a second choke for a second fluid. The second choke is defined by a converging region upstream and a diverging region downstream of the second choke. The example injector further includes a mixing region after both the diverging region of the second flow path and the first choke and configured to receive the first fluid the second fluid, and an outlet configured to allow the first fluid and the second fluid to exit the mixing region. The first and second chokes are configured to allow a constant mass flow of the first and second fluids, respectively, to flow into the mixing region independent of a pressure at the outlet.
