  • Patent number: 8713965
Abstract: An attachment for an article of jewelry called a brooch enabling the brooch to be worn as a pendant. The attachment comprises a body, a head, and a tail. The body contains one or multiple pin holes into which the pin stem of the brooch is inserted. The head extends upward from the body and contains the necklace hole. The tail, which flexes upon closure of the pin stem, extends downward from the body and covers the back of the brooch below the pin stem. When engaged on the back of a brooch, the attachment will bear on the back of the brooch above and below the pin stem and prevent rotation of the attachment about the pin stem. The body encloses the pin stem and prevents the pin stem from contacting the wearer, protecting the wearer from injury.

  • Patent number: 8047019
Abstract: An attachment for a brooch enabling said brooch to be suspended by a necklace as a pendant. The attachment comprises a body, a head, and a tail. The body contains multiple pin holes one of which encases the pin of the brooch. After the width is adjusted, said body lies adjacent to the hinge and the locking device of the pin. The proximity of said body to said devices as well as said body's thickness prevents said devices from contacting the wearer. The head, which houses the necklace hole, is of sufficient thickness that it creates a protective space between any sharp projections on the back of said brooch and the wearer above the pin. The tail, after adjustment, covers sharp projections below the pin. The attachment will protect the wearer from injury, make the brooch comfortable to wear, and display the brooch in a cosmetic manner.

  • Patent number: 7597245
Abstract: The invention is a shipping box and an internal holding device designed to transport a dental impression without damage or distortion by suspending the impression by it's handle inside the box so that it does not touch the interior walls of the box. The box, constructed of fiberboard or plastic is divided into a receptacle, where the internal holding device secures the handle of the impression, and a suspension area, where the body of the impression is suspended in mid-air. The interior holding device is comprised of two blocks into which the handle of the impression will imprint, securing the impression and preventing it from moving about during transport.
