Patent number: 11830350Abstract: Multiple subterranean probes at an area of land detect soil conditions and wirelessly transmit soil condition information to a service provider's backend server or to a technician's hand-held wireless device. The server provides multiple user interface screens of a customer application that display soil condition information and irrigation's system status. Local micro weather stations may determine and wirelessly transmit weather condition information to the server. An installer may use the customer application to determine that received signal strength at a given probe is weak and should thus be relocated, or to determine refined location information corresponding to the probe. Historical soil condition information and artificial intelligence may predict soil conditions where a previously installed probe has been moved or quit working. Probes' housings seal internal electronics, including soil condition sensors, wireless communication modules, processors, and memory.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: GRAVITY TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Diego A. Patent number: 11828405Abstract: The present invention provides a transfer line exchanger which is optimized for one or more objective functions of interest such as pressure drop, erosion rate, fouling, coke deposition and operating costs. The transfer line exchanger is designed by computer modeling a transfer line exchanger in which the cross section of flow path is substantially circular and modeling the operation of the transfer line under industrial conditions to validate the model design and its operation. Then iteratively the model design is deformed and the operation of the deformed part is modeled and compared to values obtained with other deformed models until the value of the objective function is optimized (e.g. at an extreme) or the change in the objective function is approaching zero.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2020Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: NOVA Chemicals (International) S.A.Inventors: Eric Clavelle, Edgar Yajure, Leslie Wilfred Benum, Edward Christopher Foy, David Eisenhawer

Patent number: 11826069Abstract: An ultrasonic instrument comprises an ultrasonic transducer, an acoustic waveguide, and an ultrasonic blade. The blade includes a pair of obliquely extending edges. The obliquely extending edges diverge away from the longitudinal axis of the waveguide and away from each other along respective paths extending distally in relation to the waveguide. A distal portion of the blade is wider than a proximal portion of the blade along a plane. The blade further includes a curved distal edge and several laterally presented surfaces. The laterally presented surfaces may provide combinations of concave and convex curvatures. The laterally presented surfaces may be angled and/or curved along one or more orthogonal planes associated with the longitudinal axis of the waveguide.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: David A. Patent number: 11830682Abstract: A display cover apparatus having a display cover for a push button on a push button switch, a holder for the display cover, and a housing. The display cover has lock hooks and the holder has a hollow interior, a top end with lock slots that removably connect to the lock hooks, a bottom end, a flexible retaining washer in a groove at the bottom end, and a locking key between the top end and the bottom end. The holder is positioned on a circular shelf in an interior of the housing. The circular shelf has an internal circular flange with a locking slot that receives the locking key to prevent rotation of the holder in the housing. The flexible retaining washer is positioned beneath the flange. The circular shelf and the flexible retaining washer prevent linear movement of the holder in the housing. An alignment hook on the display cover removably connects to an alignment slot on the holder, thereby preventing the display cover from rotating on the holder.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Inventor: David Worsham

Patent number: 11829222Abstract: A system and method for updating power supply voltages due to variations from aging are described. A functional unit includes a power supply monitor capable of measuring power supply variations in a region of the functional unit. An age counter measures an age of the functional unit. A control unit notifies the power supply monitor to measure an operating voltage reference. When the control unit receives a measured operating voltage reference, the control unit determines an updated age of the region different from the current age based on the measured operating voltage reference. The control unit updates the age counter with the corresponding age, which is younger than the previous age in some cases due to the region not experiencing predicted stress and aging. The control unit is capable of determining a voltage adjustment for the operating voltage reference based on an age indicated by the age counter.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2020Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.Inventors: Sriram Sambamurthy, Sriram Sundaram, Indrani Paul, Larry David Hewitt, Anil Harwani, Aaron Joseph Grenat, Dana Glenn Lewis, Leonardo Piga, Wonje Choi, Karthik Rao

Patent number: 11831648Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for authenticating requests to access one or more accounts over a network using authenticity evaluations of two or more automated decision engines are discussed. A login request for access to a user account may be submitted to multiple decision engines that each apply different rulesets for authenticating the login request, and output an evaluation of the authenticity of the login request. Based on evaluations from multiple automated decision engines, the login request may be allowed to proceed to validation of user identity and, if user identity is validated, access to the user account may be authorized. Based on the evaluations, the login attempt may also be rejected. One or more additional challenge question may be returned to the computing device used to request account access, and the login request allowed to proceed to validation of identity if the response to the challenge question is deemed acceptable.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Mark David Castonguay, Upul D. Patent number: 11829299Abstract: Technologies for execute only transactional memory include a computing device with a processor and a memory. The processor includes an instruction translation lookaside buffer (iTLB) and a data translation lookaside buffer (dTLB). In response to a page miss, the processor determines whether a page physical address is within an execute only transactional (XOT) range of the memory. If within the XOT range, the processor may populate the iTLB with the page physical address and prevent the dTLB from being populated with the page physical address. In response to an asynchronous change of control flow such as an interrupt, the processor determines whether a last iTLB translation is within the XOT range. If within the XOT range, the processor clears or otherwise secures the processor register state. The processor ensures that an XOT range starts execution at an authorized entry point. Other embodiments are described and claimed.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: INTEL CORPORATIONInventors: David M. Durham, Michael LeMay, Men Long
