  • Patent number: 11755981
Abstract: Technology for voting, or endorsing with votes, a set of subjects under review, such as a group of human individual peers or a set of products. Each voter in this system is provided with an amount of voting credits that may be allocated among and between at least some of the subjects under review. In some embodiments a discounting scheme is applied to the voting credit allocations so that multiple credits allocated to a single subject will typically count for fewer net “votes” for the subject as the number of credits allocated to that single subject increases. In some embodiments, the discounting scheme is polynomial voting.

  • Patent number: 11757964
Abstract: Techniques for serving a manifest file of an adaptive streaming video include receiving a request for the manifest file from a user device. The video is encoded at different reference bitrates and each encoded reference bitrate is divided into segments to generate video segment files. The manifest file includes an ordered list of universal resource locators (URLs) that reference a set of video segment files encoded at a particular reference bitrate. A source manifest file that indicates the set of video segment files is identified based on the request. An issued manifest file that includes a first URL and a second URL is generated based on the source manifest file. The first URL references a first domain and the second URL references a second domain that is different from the first domain. The issued manifest file is transmitted to the user device as a response to the request.

  • Patent number: 11754463
Abstract: A tower monitoring system for monitoring a remote tower for structural evaluation and analysis. The tower monitoring system includes a sensor unit that takes tower data readings that include displacement readings. The sensor unit provides the tower data readings to a ground control unit near the tower. A remote server is in communication with the ground control unit and includes a secondary source of data, such as historical data of the tower, current data or historic data from nearby towers, and nearby weather and geological data. The monitoring system implements a modal analysis to determine contributions to the displacement readings and alarms an operator if the modal readings indicate structural stress beyond a predetermined threshold. Data is saved and can be used in a trend analysis to review any changes in the tower displacement readings over a period of time.
