  • Publication number: 20230274290
Abstract: A system and associated methods are provided that are intended to be used by citizens to record their stances on relevant issues in a permanent distributed ledger, to organize these stances into non-personally identifiable aggregations to demonstrate the collective stance of a group of citizens and their prioritization of several issues, and use this information regarding stances to identify alignment or misalignment between a candidate and a citizen or a group of citizens eligible to vote for that candidate. The system can therefore provide aggregated issue stance and issue prioritization information for a jurisdiction. Alternatively, the system can help a user who is verified as an eligible citizen to determine which candidate is most closely aligned with the user's stances on issues and prioritization of issues.

  • Publication number: 20230274018
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for implementing data sovereignty safeguards in a distributed services network architecture are disclosed. Embodiments of a distributed services system may have a number of distributed nodes that each implements a set of services. When a user requests a service at a particular node of a distributed services system, the node is configured to determine if that node is not (or is) data sovereign for a region associated with the user. If the node is not data sovereign for the user's region, the user may be directed to a corresponding service at a node of the distributed service system that is data sovereign for the user's region.

  • Publication number: 20230273864
Abstract: Methods and systems for improving data back-up, recovery, and search across different cloud-based applications, services, and platforms are described. A data management and storage system may direct compute and storage resources within a customer's cloud-based data storage account to back-up and restore data while the customer retains full control of their data. The data management and storage system may direct the compute and storage resources within the customer's cloud-based data storage account to generate and store secondary layers that are used for generating search indexes, to generate and store shared space layers and user specific layers to facilitate the deduplication of email attachments and text blocks, to perform a controlled restoration of email snapshots such that sensitive information (e.g., restricted keywords) located within stored snapshots remains protected, and to detect and preserve emails that were received or transmitted and then deleted between two consecutive snapshots.
