Abstract: A method for actuating a magnetic resonance system having a radiofrequency unit designed to generate a radiofrequency pulse for the saturation of nuclear spins in an area under examination of an object under examination. The method includes loading a B0 map of the magnetic resonance system; loading frequency information on nuclear spins to be saturated in the area under examination; ascertaining at least one global RF saturation pulse for the global saturation of the nuclear spins to be saturated on the basis of the B0 map and the frequency information; and outputting the RF saturation pulse via the radiofrequency unit of the magnetic resonance system.

  • Publication number: 20230100328
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are improved address prediction and memory preloading that leverages next-delta prediction and/or far-delta prediction for scheduling using a DNN. Previous memory access sequence data that identify one or more memory addresses previously accessed by one or more processors of a system may be processed and then converted into a sequence of delta values. The sequence of delta values are then mapped to one or more classes that are then input to a DNN. The DNN then outputs a predicted future class identifier sequence that represents addresses that the DNN predicts will be accessed by the processor in the future. The predicted future class identifier sequence is then converted back to a predicted delta value sequence and back into a set of one or more predicted addresses.

  • Publication number: 20230096478
Abstract: A method of operating a magnetic resonance scanner includes determining a radio frequency (RF) pulse to be transmitted to jointly homogenize a flip angle and a semisolid saturation that would result from magnetization of a sample to be scanned by the MR scanner using the determined RF pulse. The method also includes controlling an RF transmit coil of the MR scanner to transmit the determined pulse. Homogenizing both semisolid saturation and excitation properties of the RF pulse allows for improved magnetic transfer ratio imaging.

  • Publication number: 20230094523
Abstract: An alloy formed of aluminum, nickel, scandium and optionally one, two or more further metals. The aluminum alloy is suitable for additive manufacturing of lightweight highly thermally conductive components for aircraft, such as heat exchangers. In a first step, a powder of the described aluminum alloy is produced by additive manufacturing, such as laser melting in the L-PBF process. Large grains are able to grow epitaxially along the build direction thereby increasing phonon and electron mobility along the build direction. With this, a higher thermal conductivity can be achieved. In a second step, the preliminary part is hardened by precipitation of secondary phases at 250 to 400 C to form the hardened part. 3D-printed lightweight parts with high thermal conductivity are obtained.

  • Publication number: 20230099846
Abstract: A catheter package includes an elongated case. A cap is attached to the case by a flexible strap. The case receives the tubing portion of a catheter. The catheter has a funnel attached to the tubing. The funnel has a seal portion releasably engageable with the case. The cap is releasably engageable with the funnel to retain the funnel in contact with the case. A user can flip the cap off the funnel to permit removal of the catheter from the case. The funnel may include ridges or a tactile ring to improve the user’s grip on the funnel. An adaptor may be disposed between the funnel and case to allow mating of different cross sectional shapes of the funnel and case. A hydration device may be inserted in the case. Alternately, a tubular liner may be inserted in the case to separate liquid water on the outside of the liner from the catheter tubing on the inside of the liner. A window in the liner mounts a patch of filter material that permits the passage of water vapor into the interior of the liner.

  • Publication number: 20230098620
Abstract: In some embodiments, a set of user groups can be defined, with each group relating to a different webpage experience, user action, etc. Requests are assigned to one of the groups based on actual webpage presentation features and/or user actions. A group-specific model is generated for each group and translates user information to a preliminary result (e.g., a purchasing probability). A model combination includes a weighted combination of a set of available group-specific models. User information is processed using the model combination to generate a model result. The model result is evaluated to determine whether a requested webpage is to be customized in a particular manner and/or an opportunity is to be offered.

  • Publication number: 20230097985
Abstract: Methods are provided for improving the manufacture and use of pharmaceutical compositions comprising histidine-lysine copolymers and nucleic acids, which spontaneously form nanoparticles when mixed. The flow rate of mixing and the ratio of copolymer to siRNA strongly affect nanoparticle properties, including size and homogeneity of particles, resulting in greater efficacy in delivery to target cells. Further, an acidic pH of the siRNA solution, as well as the addition of acetate or phosphate salt to the histidine-lysine copolymer prior to mixing with the siRNA also contribute to lower nanoparticle diameters and more uniform particles (lower PDI).
