  • Publication number: 20230012905
Abstract: A method includes identifying, using at least one processor, a first point associated with an uncertain location of an object in a space and a polynomial curve associated with an uncertain location of a feature in the space. The method also includes determining, using the at least one processor, a probabilistic proximity of the object and the feature. The probabilistic proximity is determined by identifying a second point on the polynomial curve, transforming an uncertainty associated with the polynomial curve into an uncertainty associated with the second point, and identifying the probabilistic proximity of the object and the feature using the first and second points and the uncertainty associated with the second point.

  • Publication number: 20230019375
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for computing a Health Score. Health data and extrinsic data are received that are parameters for computation of the Health Score. The received data can be combined using an algorithm being implemented as code executing in a processor so as to compute the Health Score of the individual wherein parameters comprising one portion of the data interacts with parameters comprising another portion of the data. Further, the computed Health Score is output to an interface of the user device. Information concerning the parameters' interaction are selectively output to the interface that explain which changes in the parameters are significant drivers of the change in the Health Score.

  • Publication number: 20230019776
Abstract: Systems and methods use ion exchange to extract lithium from a lithium-containing feed solution such as a salar brine. Lithium ions are loaded into an ion exchange resin and then eluted while recharging the resin. Sodium hydroxide or sodium bicarbonate may be used to recharge the resin but are not directly mixed with the lithium-containing feed solution. An eluate stream is produced containing lithium hydroxide or lithium bicarbonate. Lithium hydroxide can be precipitated as lithium hydroxide or in a hydrate form. Lithium bicarbonate may be converted to lithium carbonate. The system and method optionally includes processing an eluate stream to recover one or more compounds for re-use in regenerating the resin bed.

  • Publication number: 20230017708
Abstract: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles also known as UAVs or Drones, either autonomous or remotely piloted, are classified as drones by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as weighing under 212 pounds. The system described herein details Autonomous Flight Vehicles (AFV) which weigh over 212 pounds but less than 1,320 pounds which may require either a new classification or a classification such as Sport Light Aircraft, but without the requirement of a pilot due to the safe autonomous flight system such as the Safe Temporal Vector Integration Engine or STeVIE. Safe Autonomous Light Aircraft (SALA) are useful as drone carriers, large scale air package or cargo transport, and even human transport depending on the total lift capability of the platform.

  • Publication number: 20230013478
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for the maintenance of a virtual credit card pool for airline passenger vouchers. An example system includes server(s) that are configured to determine a target distribution of virtual credit cards within the virtual card pool for a current date-and-time. The server(s) are configured to, in response to determining that the current date-and-time corresponds with a predefined restocking time, for each card value: identify a current number of virtual credit cards within the virtual card pool; identify a threshold number of virtual credit cards based on the target distribution; compare the current and threshold numbers; in response to determining that the current number is less than the threshold number, transmit a request for virtual credit cards having the card value to an external server; and add the requested virtual credit cards to the virtual card pool upon receipt.

  • Publication number: 20230015369
Abstract: A computer implemented method for controlling an ultrasonic surgical system includes activating an ultrasonic surgical system including an ultrasonic generator, an ultrasonic transducer, and an ultrasonic blade. The method further includes collecting data from the ultrasonic surgical system, communicating the data to a machine learning algorithm, determining the vessel size based on the data, using the machine learning algorithm, communicating the determined vessel size to a computing device associated with the ultrasonic generator, and controlling the activated ultrasonic surgical system in accordance with the vessel size. The data may include an electrical parameter associated with the activated ultrasonic surgical system. When the ultrasonic surgical system is activated, the ultrasonic generator produces a drive signal to drive the ultrasonic transducer which, in turn, produces ultrasonic energy that is transmitted to the ultrasonic blade for treating a vessel in contact with the ultrasonic blade.

  • Publication number: 20230016423
Abstract: A plurality of air bags is provided as part of a child safety seat for use in a vehicle. The decompressed external air bag extends outwardly from a wing of the seat and transfers an air volume to the initially compressed internal bag, causing it to inflate and cushion the head and/or upper body of the occupant of the safety seat. When installed in a vehicle the seat equipped with air bags serves to mitigate any free flight zones during a collision, increase ride down time, and allow early loading onset, and thereby improve the safety of the occupant. The external airbag may be adjustable for tailoring the safety seat to the vehicle dimensions and being collapsible for stowage.

  • Publication number: 20230020987
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting within a vehicle, an object having at least one receptacle in a first main surface. The apparatus comprises a base having a mounting surface. A latch and a frame are movable between latched and unlatched positions and are biased toward the latched position by a first biasing element. One or more push buttons are movable between extended and depressed positions and are biased toward the extended position by a second biasing element. A lower portion of the push button blocks and allows movement of the frame toward the latched position when the push button is in the extended and depressed position, respectively. The first main surface pushes the push button to the depressed position, thereby enabling the first biasing element to move the latch and the frame to the latched position, in which the latch engages with the at least one receptacle.
