  • Patent number: 11175100
Abstract: A heat sink assembly can comprise a heat sink and a shaping element made of a shape memory material. The shaping element is incorporated into the heat sink assembly in an assembly shape. An actuation energy can cause the shape memory material to change the shaping element to an actuation shape, and the actuation shape can produce a thermal coupling shape in the heat sink. A method comprises forming a shaping element, of a shape memory material, into an actuation shape. The method includes re-forming the shaping element from the actuation shape into an assembly shape and incorporating the shaping element in a heat sink assembly that includes a heat sink. In the method, applying an actuation energy causes the shape memory material to change the shaping element from the assembly shape to the actuation shape to produce a thermal coupling shape in the heat sink.

  • Patent number: 11178188
Abstract: The technology disclosed describes a system. The system comprises a network security system interposed between clients and cloud applications. The network security system is configured to receive from a client an incoming request to access a cloud application in an application session. The network security system is further configured to analyze the incoming request and detect absence of at least some metadata required to enforce a security policy on the incoming request. The network security system is further configured to hold the incoming request, generate a synthetic request, and inject the synthetic request into the application session to transmit the synthetic request to the cloud application. The synthetic request is configured to retrieve otherwise absent metadata from the cloud application. The network security system is further configured to receive a response to the synthetic request from the cloud application. The response supplies the otherwise absent metadata.

  • Patent number: 11176475
Abstract: An artificial intelligence system for training a classifier has a database of training data and a modeling system for building a classification model based on the training data. The database has a binary classification for each entity and binary tokens indicating whether or not one or more indicators about the entity are true. The classification model is based on a tempered indication of the tokens. The tempered indication is a ratio of a weighted sum of the tokens for each entity divided by a tempering factor for each of the entities. The tempering factor is a function of the unweighted sum of the tokens for each entity. Thus, the tempering factor will reduce the tempered indication when large numbers of low weight tokens are present so that the model does not over predict the probability of an entity being in the classification.

  • Patent number: 11173028
Abstract: A device can be introduced into the right atrium of a subject's heart by introducing the distal end of a hollow, straight, and stiff shaft into the subject's right internal jugular vein, and advancing the distal end of the shaft into the right atrium via the superior vena cava. The position of the distal end of the shaft is adjusted by manipulating a handle affixed to a portion of the shaft that remains outside the subject's body. The handle can be used to rotate the shaft about its longitudinal axis, rotate the shaft about an anterior-posterior axis, rotate the shaft about a medial-lateral axis, and/or advance the shaft in the caudal direction. A device is advanced through the interior of the shaft until the device extends beyond the distal end of the shaft and into the right atrium.

  • Patent number: 11173426
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed to separate solids from liquids. A vessel includes a screw, an inlet, a first outlet, and a second outlet. The inlet receives a first slurry having an incoming solids concentration. The first slurry consists of solids and a contact liquid. The first outlet is disposed toward the first end of the vessel. The second outlet is disposed toward a second end of the vessel. The screw preferentially conveys the solids over the contact liquid towards the second end of the vessel, the solids displacing at least a portion of the contact liquid, causing that portion of the contact liquid to flow toward the first outlet. A melting device is included.

  • Patent number: 11178487
Abstract: A furniture system including a base and transverse member, with an induction charger provided in the transverse member and/or base, hidden from view and feel, embedded, e.g., at least 10 mm below the charging surface. In an embodiment, the transverse member includes a frame having an upper panel and an induction charger elastically secured at least partially above the upper panel such that the induction charger is elastically pushed down toward or through the upper panel when a force is exerted downward onto the induction charger. The induction charger elastically yields downward or otherwise toward or into the furniture system in response to loads, such as loads from sitting on the induction charger, to prevent damage thereto. The induction charger can elastically yield as such and still be positioned close enough to the surface of the furniture system to effectively charge electronic devices placed thereon.
