Abstract: An apparatus for cooling one or more heat generating components comprises: a sealable enclosure defining a volume for containing a first coolant and one or more heat generating components; a conduit surrounded by the volume, the conduit enabling a second coolant to enter and leave the enclosure, the conduit providing a fluid-tight seal between the first coolant and the second coolant when the first coolant within the volume surrounds the conduit; and a pump within the enclosure configured to direct the first coolant to the conduit such that heat is exchanged between the first coolant and the second coolant.

Abstract: A method of creating a shunt between a right atrium and a left atrium of a mammalian heart including puncturing an atrial septum between the right atrium and the left atrium to create a shunt. An ablation device having balloon is advanced at least partially through the shunt. The balloon is inflated and configured to thermally isolate the atrial septum from blood within the left atrium and the right atrium. Ablation energy is delivered to ablate the atrial septum.

Abstract: A system and a method to obtain clearance is disclosed. The system includes user identification hardware configured to establish identity of the user. The system also includes a toilet configured to analyze a sample of excreta or sputum from the user, to thereby determine the status of the user with respect to a pre-determined condition. A processing module is configured to link the identity of the user with the status of the user. A communication module communicates information including the linked identity and status of the user to an authority. As such, the authority is provided the information required to grant or deny clearance to the user. Clearance may include allowing a user to use one or more forms of public transportation, be in places where large numbers of people congregate, participate in an athletic competition or other places or activities where the condition of the user may put themselves or others at risk.

Abstract: A method for depth estimation performed by a depth estimation system of an autonomous agent includes determining a first pose of a sensor based on a first image captured by the sensor and a second image captured by the sensor. The method also includes determining a first depth of the first image and a second depth of the second image. The method further includes generating a warped depth image based on at least the first depth and the first pose. The method still further includes determining a second pose based on the warped depth image and the second depth image. The method also includes updating the first pose based on the second pose and updating a first warped image based on the updated first pose.

Abstract: In response to receipt of a request for an assessment of a user at a system and from a client terminal, the system identifies a duration of time available for responding to the request and starts a timer. The system transmits requests for information about the user to data sources. The system can and receive some responsive datasets back from the data sources, and can determine which responsive datasets are optimal to wait for and which are not based on how closely the timer is approaching the duration of time available for responding to the request. The system generates the assessment of the user based on the datasets that the system received before the timer reached a threshold time that is based on the duration of time available for responding to the request, and sends the assessment of the user to the client terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and assay systems for use in spatially encoded biological assays, including assays to determine a spatial pattern of abundance, expression, and/or activity of one or more biological targets across multiple sites in a sample. In particular, the biological targets comprise proteins, and the methods and assay systems do not depend on imaging techniques for the spatial information of the targets. The present disclosure provides methods and assay systems capable of high levels of multiplexing where reagents are provided to a biological sample in order to address tag the sites to which reagents are delivered; instrumentation capable of controlled delivery of reagents; and a decoding scheme providing a readout that is digital in nature.

Pages from a wordline of a flash memory device read and the raw page data read from the wordline may be buffered in a first set of buffers. The raw page data for each of the pages may be provided to a decoder for decoding and the decoded page data for each of the pages buffered in a second set of buffers. First bin identifiers may be identified for memory cells of the wordline based on the raw page data and second bin identifiers may be identified for the memory cells of the wordline based on the decoded page data. Cell-level statistics may be accumulated based on the first bin identifiers and the second bin identifiers, and a gradient may be determined for respective read levels based on decoding results for each of the pages and the cell-level statistics. Settings for the read levels may be configured in the flash memory device based on the determined gradients.
